Your list is way to short. How can leave off the saints? Dallas isn't that good. i think this post was just to start conversation.

How about the only 5 teams with no shot to win the Super Bowl?

    1. Carolina Panthers (Ownership has no commitment to winning anymore.)
    2. Cincinatti Bengals (Ownership is deluded, bullheaded and insane.)
    3. Cleveland Browns (They are a long way from being a winning franchise.)
    4. Buffalo Bills (They are a bottom level team in a brutal division.)
    5. Denver Broncos (Front office has made too many bad decisions, it's all uphill from here.)

With another improvement this year as we seen last year with the Lions, will make them very fearful. Would not be surprise at all if the Lions win their division.

I like your list... but what about Redskins? That team is not even kinda close to making a SB run with Beck at QB. That team isn't the 2000 Ravens.

stafford/calvin johnson have to stay healthy for once in their life for a whole season. still find it hard to believe that 'detroit lions' and 'superbowl' would ever be in the same sentence lol

btw this thread getting bumped and all this football talk is getting me wayyyy too excited for football. ima have to go rub one off in a minute in the bedroom

good list, def agree. out of all those for some reason i think cleveland has the worst chance. i would add the 49ers, arizona, & tennessee (love jeff fisher but besides that i cant even really name anybody on their team. maybe chris johnson.)

I considered the Redskins, but they'd probably be #6 on my list, those other teams are in worse shape. I still respect Shanahan even though he seems to have lost the magic from his days with Elway. I agree that they have major issues at QB which is a huge problem.

Cleveland made my list because they are in a very tough division and the AFC is still the tougher conference from top to bottom, IMHO. Even though they get to play Cincy twice, that also leaves Pitts and Baltimore twice as well. If Cleveland was in the NFC West, I'd love them to win that division.

That brings us to 49ers/Cards, which I considered for my top 5, but the thing is that division is so weak that either one of these two jokers could wind up in the playoffs and then who knows. Both teams have enough talent to make a run but both are a QB away. The Cards could still make a deal for Kolb which would instantly make them a favorite to win the division. I am suspicious whether the Cards management will pull the trigger, though, because they should've done a deal as soon as Warner retired before last year and they didn't. With the 49ers, I'm not sure if Harbaugh can have success in his first year, but look what Pete Caroll did last year, so who knows? The main thing keeping these two teams afloat is that they play in such a weak division as well as the lesser conference, which could give them the easiest path to the big game.

Tennessee probably isn't very close either. They had a coaching change and Fischer is out, Munchak is in. Jake Locker will likely be their starting QB at some point, although as the lockout continues it undermines his chance to get the snaps he needs to get onto the field. Also, Vince Young is still technically on the team, so maybe give him another year? Titans are definitely a team in transition and a lot of question marks. I guess I left them off the list because they are always a game team that does the opposite of what I expect.

Unless the boys signed a secondary and some linebackers, you're way off.

I put $25 on Denver at 80/1 odds. Dumerville will be returning to go along with Von Miller on defense. Tebow and John Fox are proven winners as well. Just because a team had a lousy record last year doesn't mean they have no chance. They all start the season 0-0.
