This was a screen test on a soundstage on the roof of a Hotel at the Dharan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, its not like they were filming at a five star hotel in Atlanta. This video has been out there forever and was a staple on conspiracy and nutjob forums for awhile.

This was taking in Saudi Arabia during war time with missiles falling, its doubtful they wanted to film out in the street, I wouldn't.

so an elaborate fabrication of a "live" story, complete with air raid sirens and gas masks, all the while being saturated with the theme of danger and risk, while broadcasted from the safety of a soundstage far away shouldn't be criticized?

i have posted it before, that's why i called it "classic footage". just because the video has been available in the past doesn't make it any less relevant to more recent faked news from the middle east like jessica lynch's staged rescue, the staged toppling of saddam statues, bin laden "murder", etc etc

Mike , I am not putting you down for posting this but I am just telling you, you are wrong about this. This wasn't shot in Atlanta, it was shot in Saudi arabia during war time. It wasnt a fabrication of a live story, the actual footage was shot live during a missile attack, the screen test was done on a soundstage at the air base for safety precautions.

The military did fabricate many elements of the jessica lynch rescue but it wasn't a media staged event, they just didnt tell the whole truth about the rescue, she was even on record telling the truth about it.

The media in america is a mediocre institution and it needs to be criticized and changed, but when people on those conspiracy web sites make up stuff saying the moon landing was staged, 911 was a hoax, Bin laden is really alive, Gnomes are responsible for all america problems, it just sounds crazy.

so if the actual footage of this was shot at a soundstage for "safety precautions" then why is it completely impossible that the moon landing was shot at a soundstage for "safety precautions"? especially considering nasa has always been, and continues to be, scared to send any living thing through the van allen radiation belts.

i'm not sure how you can know that parts of the jessica lynch rescue were made up but still not consider it a staged event. she testified to congress that she was unguarded in a hospital and they only did the "rescue" for tv propaganda purposes.

either the government and the media lie about these things to keep support for unsupportable wars, or they don't. it has been proven that they do lie with wmd, forged yellowcake documents, pat tillman, operation northwoods, etc etc so to assume that the only time they lie is the instances that have been proven is quite ridiculous.
