I have my Series 7, but I don't work exclusively with stocks as a broker. Good business if you can get the clients from day one and start building your AUM. Do you work for one of the big houses?

All they do is take your money on commissions by over trading

I work for a smaller firm in NY, but we have a very talented board room with new accounts coming in everyday just off of pounding the phone.

JJ, brokers dedicated to there business and have respect for there clients will make money for them. Plus the markets have been doing phenomenal lately. Major blue chip stocks are beating there earnings. S&P companies on average right now are coming in at earnings 26% higher this qtr then a yr ago.

I think lemart is on the sell side too but he specializes in IB. He's working out of a small firm in Atlanta specializing in smallcap ventures. Last i heard he was trying to float a debt recap so M&A talks could continue between Lou's Chicken Palace and Big Al's Liquors. Should call him up at the payphone near his refrigerator box.
