No confidence in the Hawks, but I think it's better if Vancouver loses one in Chicago. They don't want to be idle for too long before the next series.

This is the question, is this line of thinking seeping into the Canucks at all? I think Vancouver is playing for revenge here and to make a statement, too much can go wrong if you lose a game. ie. lose the next one and have to come back to Chicago for game 6 and risking injuries in each additional game you have to play. It's "pride" vs revenge/team on a mission and I am betting on revenge.

The players piling on top of Steve Moore made the incident way worse because of the neck injuries he suffered. The actual punch warranted the rest of the season + a large fine but not booted out of the NHL forever. There have been way worse cheap shots that have gotten less.

I agree that that happened was unfortunate. I don't agree with your statement. The punch didn't temporarily paralyze Moore, the guys jumping on top of his paralyzed him. Bertuzzi lives with it everyday. I am sure you loved Todd when he was on your team too protecting Naslund and averaging 50+ points a season. There have been many sucker punches quite like Todd's in the NHL. This one happened to be unfortunate. Although I support Todd, I don't condone what he did in any way.

Just so you know I'm an Avs fan, just have the Canucks logo because thats who I'm rooting for now. As for Moores injury, I think it happened right when Bertuzzi took his head right into the ice. I guess we'll never know. Just gives me another reason to hate the wings I guess.
