i know you can lay a stack on mlb totals at hilton, venetian, mandalay bay, Lucky's for sure because i can remember when i did at these places.. and i am just 28 years old wearing a baseball cap and a t-shirt.. i didn't need approval any of the times..

at a real vegas book you can get at least 1k down on pretty much everything.. i am sure smaller establishments might give you a hard time.. try the mandalay bay.. they have pretty high limits on everything..

Venetian I can't really comment. I rarely go there because they aren't on the screen. I'm guessing they bum-hunt pretty hard just like the Wynn.

Jack Franzi who ran the Barbary and Gold Coast in the 80's and 90's is probably the most well known and successful bookmakers next to Bob Martin to ever run a book in Vegas. Jimmy Vacarro also ran the Barbary Coast at one time and Michael Gaughan has never been afraid to to take large action in his books.

I forget exactly when Barbary Coast was bought by Harrah's and changed its name to Bill's (I think 2006?), but I recall from 2003-2006 that Barbary Coast seemed to have the sharpest lines on CBB totals, so I didn't place too many bets there.

Generally, you'd need a proxy (a Nevada resident who enters your picks for you each week). Usually, they charge a fee and/or a percentage of your prospective winnings.

I am not aware of any contest where you would be able to enter your picks from out of state. In fact, I believe it would be against the law.

There is a lot of crazy stuff in this thread.
It's not hard to get money down in Vegas. Just go to different books. And don't bet the max at the local books. Bet big at Hilton and Cantor books, you won't get limited, guaranteed. You could go bet $500 at 5 books along the strip and it would take you about an hour and every single book would take it with no hesitation. $2,500 down right there. Not hard to get down money.

ahahaha. If you have a $250,000 bankroll, or a $125,000 bankroll, which you probably do, just get some runners. If they cut one of your runners get another one.

For the 99% of the people out there making less than $3,000 bets you will be just fine...
