Bartolo Colon still needs a translator?

Definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed. This is his last chance to play major league baseball, and he shows up to camp out of shape. Can't believe the Yanks are that desperate for starting pitching that they call anyone with a pulse to spring training.

These were my exact thoughts. He looked hungry and out of breath today while pitching.

i'm sure he can speak it, but maybe uses a translator in interviews to make sure he doesn't **** up? especially when he's trying to get one last paycheck?

i haven't had spanish since high school, and being in Cancun for a week 2 months ago brought it all back pretty quickly. being in-country you learn (remember) much quicker.

i guess it just comes down to the persons desire to learn the language, yao ming was speaking great english after his 2nd season in the nba after he hardly knew a single word his rookie year!

yep its a matter of want to, i know mexicans (my girls uncle)that came here in the 80s that dont speak a lick of english they understand it but speak only spanish with family and friends own a store that caters to spanish speakers.

Actually Cabrera and Colon both speak good English. They are both just full of shit and hide behind the language barrier. Makes it easy act stupid when your a behind the scenes fuk up who is blessed with the gift to play ball

They were saying on the radio that's why the Mets clubhouse had such a rift.

After a bad loss all of the beat reporters come to the player to ask the hard questions. What did all of the hispanic players say? "No Speaka".

So the beat reporters go to David Wright, Francor and all the white player and grille them for a 1/2 hour why the team lost the game.
