In his better years he was a top 5 SS. That's pretty good.

Are you saying that just because of the thyroid issue? It's exactly a rare condition.

He's going to bounce back. And even if he doesn't, he's still an improvement over Kaz Matsui.

so since we base things off the beginning of the season

we can give andre Ethier the tripple crown now
paul konerko can have AL MVP
    Barry Zito gets cy young
    padres win the NL West
Reyes goes out of baseball because of his bad 30 games
    Ubaldo will go 35-0

sounds right? only the first 30 games matter especially for the players who hadnt played a major league game in over 11 months.

at 80 games i'm gonna bump this and we'll see how reyes is doing...

this is different than any other slow starter considering the circumstances. do you see me throwing out others' names saying their career is over because of a slow start? no...

    but jose reyes is different.

    he has nothing left.

i have no respect for people who take my statement out of context and don't realize he's the only player with a slow start i'm saying this about.

well, at least he fits right in with the rest of the team- all star stiffs' defined

on july 1st, if hes hitting .230 and has only about 20 steals and is hitting 8th and has causes the mets harm you can bump this thread, for now its entirely pointless.

    What 80 games?

He should be out of the league very shortly, right?

how could you say he doesnt care anymore, watch his reactions in the dugout and on the field, after hitting a triple hes pumped and when he strikes out he slams his bat, half the things said in this thread are ridiculous. Reyes will be fine

he's making too much money to just dump. do you think if he was a 400k/yr player he'd be playing now?

of course theyll have to play him, and of course he'll get more shots...but like JJ said, he'll be out of the league soon enough.

So only the ABs that fit your stupid scenario matter. Hitting against Lincecum didn't count, right?

y'all need to look up some common injuries/health conditions from HGH and steroid users.

Then factor in the doctor connected to HGH reyes has been working with.

Then connect the dots and draw your own conclusions.

Guys, Remmy is right, and clearly smarter than all of you.

I mean, really. Hitting .667 against a two-time reighning cy young winner is embarassing. He struckout for heaven's sake. He's done. Actually, come to think of it, is anybody hitting over .667 this year? I think we should just cancel the season. Clearly nobody is at the professional level.
