I was flipping back and forth watching one of my other bets lose, so I'm not totally sure of the situation you guys are talking about. Forgive me if I am misunderstanding what happened. But in general, going for the TD (not kicking earlier) is the right play once you get close. If you are near the endzone, you don't kick a FG just to recover the onside kick and leaving 60 yards for the TD. You punch it into the endzone while you are close, then go for the onside kick, because you at least have a shot at a FG from 55+. What's the logic in kicking a 30 yard FG when you then have to go 60 yards for a TD? Much easier to score a TD from 30 yards, then try a long FG.

Someone explain what exactly happened, because by the way it sounds Fisher handled it correctly. I guess I am missing what actually happened. Should have been watching.
