#5and so does your contribution.
I picked up "Reachin'" by Digable Plantes and "Feedback" by Jurassic-5. I'm going to start a tradition of buying an album a week, so this thread will get bumped.Comment -

#9I'm not really into Hip-Hop myself but a few good old school albums are RUN-DMC "Raisin' Hell", Beastie Boys "Licensed to Ill" and "Paul's Boutique"(my personal favorite). These 3 albums should be in everyone's collection if you even remotely like Rap/Hip Hop. As far as new stuff goes... I think 99% of it is completely awful. However, Greydon Square has some EXCELLENT lyrics and I can actually listen to it without wanting to vomit. He's possibly the most intelligent rapper of all time(just my opinion of course). Here's a sample of his work:Comment -

#14And for a serious answer to the OP:
Man, once I got internet radio apps on my Palm Pre, I stopped caring about buying any album of anyone. I want to listen to jazz, I click on some station. I want old school hip hop, I click on AccuRadio and choose from dozens of stations.Comment -

#17Originally posted by Dark HorseIf with religion you mean belief system, your belief system is your religion. Again, it matters not what it is. You believe in it, you are loyal to it, would defend it, and yet have no proof of it, other than that, at one point or another, you chose to believe in it. Self-hypnosis. What if there were a snapping of fingers that broke the hypnosis?Comment -

#28Nas for sure, 2pac has released more albums after death than he put out alive but his first few are all good. I used to like Eminem but his last two records are way below par for him. This guy can still rap but the songs just aren't good.

#35P.S. For the record, I've always been more about great music and beats than I have been great rappers. Not that I don't appreciate a good **. When it all works together, it's great.Comment
