anyone find it a little strange so many dogs won today in NFL It could very well be by chance I don't know. I only bet the sunday night game and hit with the Eagles ML and played the MLB games. Just curious if anyone thinks it is unlikely so many dogs win this sunday. I am not sure but I do know books cleaned up.

Define "Fixed". I wouldn't agree that it is a theatre as you describe, where everything is played on a script. But I certainly believe the outcomes are predetermined to some extent. More so in some sports than in others

If they were, someone would have snitched by now or slipped up. You cant "fix" a billion dollar industry without people eventually finding out.

They are only fixed when you're losing money.

Yes this is the point I am trying to get across to others on the forum. Bottomline is the games are mostly predetermined at not played without outside interference. Mainly money interfering with the integrity of the games.

good threat mikail. i think nfl is fixed more than nba although people tend to disagree. the reason why i think this is because of halftime lines. halftime lines are usually so sharp in nfl and they bait squares all day.

sometimes i think to myself- man i bet you during halftime they call the refs and ask the refs who they think will win the game and set their halftime lines based on that

tennis....well we don't even have to mention that. if a guy like dolgopolov is -800 and his opponent is +650 theres like a 40% chance that Dolgo will just bet on the other guy at 5-10 different books at +650 and cash out.

Made this thread to create a dialoque about this subject which strangely is "taboo" on this forum. Whenever someone screams fix they are automatically labeled sore loser or nutcase. I am sure that screaming fix is over used by posters who lost and are upset but my argument is that how can these games not be being altered by the enormous amounts of money being thrown at these games? let's be real here!

Next, three can keep a secret if two are dead. Ever hear that? Fixed games would invariably be discovered--almost always.

Next, maybe you get to the ref. This is possible and has happened, but it is rare. Even more rare today when almost every questionable call is examined and reexamined almost to disgust. Also, how many bad calls can a ref make before he is under suspicion?

When you think about the reality of fixed games you must agree that it is difficult to do. That being said it can happen and it has happened but it is extremely rare especially in pro leagues.

I had a buddy who was so paranoid he believed that at half time during the NFL the parties got together to decide who would cover the game. He believed this and no matter what you said he would not budge. I said Merf, why bet. He said I am attempting to figure out their logic and bet on the proper side. lol

I believe that most of the small amount of fixed games were discovered. One last thought, let's assume a top notch player was involved in fixed games. Don't you think the chances are good that he would eventually, after retiring or near death would mention it to somebody? Too many reasons why fixing games is very difficult.

This is why I only bet ML's or tease games to -1 or -0.5 this time of the year to not get screwed by the fix on the spread. Pay the extra juice so you won't get screwed is my MO this time of the year.

after my teaser barely failed tonight (broncos+15 total over 44, vs chargers), i can see how fixing might be really happening. (score was 35 to 14, total 49, when the under was 50...broncos on a drive with like 6 minutes left, could have tried to score, even a field goal, but punted from midfield! with like 3 minutes left... just one very small example, not necessarily fixed...) but yeah i can see how it would be so easy to fix games especially the spread or the totals!

dont know if they are fixed but i do know a couple of these non ranked teams playing A.M. games have had some shady calls going on. One was a clear fix for the under phantom foul so regulation would end under but kid missed 1 and 1 so headed to overtime when it looks like double overtime refs call a tech foul to end it to keep the under. CBB is shady in some of the smaller conferences but so is mac in cfb.

Either tease the game to where the spread becomes irrelevant (-0.5 or -1) or bet the ML and eat the juice (maybe do a 2 team paraly on your best two ML's). Why lose money on a fix? They will fix the spread outcome but they will most likely not fix who wins.

If it is so wide spread then show more proof then one game. There is way too many people around, too many cameras and different angles to fix a game. Every game is watched close.

Change my mind. If it is so wide spreed show me proof of at least 20 games in one sport that is fixed this year alone. Hell, show me 2 in one sport this year. And I don't want to hear about bad plays or someone having an off night that you call a fix. Show me proof of the fix and what people were in on it.
