    Thinking about starting an exchange.

Been looking at advancing our offerings to the professional gambler. Can the market support another exchange?

I would certainly think so, especially for residents in the United States.

If it is operated in the same professionalism as Rebatewager has demonstrated in their short time in the offshore community, it would undoubtedly be a smashing success.

Is it going to be operated in the sportsbook or is it going to be a separate entity? If it is the latter then free money exchanges between the sportsbook and the exchange would get my money.

We definitely have the staff and resources to pull it off. It would be more of a betting club then an exchange with us taking a small percentage for managing it. I'm gonna work on a plan over the next week or so and would love member feedback on what they would like to see in a perfect exchange.

Blackie to be successful use the betfair model
    back and lay wagers
In Play on National TV games to start
Offer Horse Racing,Only the bigger tracks and only one to start I.E Belmont,Than Saratoga and Del Mawr than Santa Anita and ADVERTISE IN THE DRF buy a mailing list from brisnet. This will get people familiar with the concept on $2 wagers
Don't give credit to the Lenny's and Jay's of the industry to seed the markets
Stick with it and my fellow players will hate me for saying this but start with low commissions than as it becomes more successful use the betfair model with the points discount

Most rec guys don't want to be bothered by an exchange so this would be a separate entity from the rebatewager brand with a board of directors made up of existing players overseeing the viability and liquidity of the club.

    Great idea

certainly would work as long as rebatewager ran it

you need guys like Fishhead and a few other sharps to assist in making sure it is set up right with great software.

Not only do I think we can move the funds efficiently. I think I can bring a lot of liquidity to the markets from my VIP business as a majority of it's members our in the financials. They have been asking me for an exchange for years.

The market needs more exchanges, there isn't enough competition, have the back and lay options, start with a lower commission rate and don't penalize big winners with premium commission rates.

shame its only one book in the world offering every market (Betfair) Matchbook should improve their base and go bigger imho.Europeans knows this exchange stuff so matchbook not even interested with european market.A few deposit method available for us (they need to add ukash-paysafe-paypal-** wire etc.)
If matchbook adds more european soccer and deposit withdrawl methods automatically they ll earn lots of eu customer so this means more market in other sports nba-nfl-mlb

With books throwing out folks left and right because they win, another exchange is good. It will be bonded, right?

You can advertise it as regular book and seed each side -110 initially. I don't see why rec folks won't use it.

    Danker I know

But Matchbook is POORLY managed and Rebatewager Group is greatly managed with high skilled people, if they get into exchange business they can make it work well.
