My only problem with Soccer is the absurd flops. Why is it tolerated? I mean I rarely watch it and I see it every single time I do.

I guess the problem is the ridiculous rate in which cards are handed out. Slide at the ball .5 second late and you have a yellow and are one mistake from being tossed. AND they carry over to matches

I'm a vanilla fan and will watch Euro/World Cup and some Champions. But there isn't much exposure here, making it a rarity. And MLS is the most depressing thing I have ever seen, so that's not going to get me more into it.

The World Cup is far and away the biggest and most captivating sporting event, though.

There are many absurd flops in the NBA. Not saying I condone it in either sport, but it is done to benefit the team. Free kicks are valuable, just as drawing a foul is beneficial in the NBA. Having said that, I realize arguing more will not get me anywhere with the majority of soccer/football haters

It's not even remotely comparable.

NBA players flop and draw fouls, but will not grovel on the ground for minutes after they are lightly stepped on in the back.

NBA players largely just draw contact and then exaggerate the impact. Soccer players will just fall down and then roll around in what seems like unimaginable agony.
