Reading this right now. I always thought Roddick was an interesting case study.
He won the US Open vs Ferraro. Two matches I'll remember most:
1) Marathon match from 2003, in which he defeated Younes El Aynaoui.
2) The five-set loss at Wimbledon vs Federer.
...IMHO, Roddick played well enuf to win that day. Just ran into a guy who was a little better.
Easy to pile on this guy. He had a great career, easily could have won multiple Grand Slams. And he has a smoking-hot wife.
