Dodgers probably won't be a 1st place team which significantly diminishes his chances unless he laps the field statistically.

He is not even the MVP of the Dodgers in my opinion, Freeman is and you could argue JD Martinez ahead of Betts.

Acuna is the frontrunner currently, in my view...

    Just my .02

Agreed, unless you are getting a ridiculous price.

Betts is hitting .258 currently...His teammate Freeman is hitting ~40 points better with similar homer and RBI stats and shockingly has 10 steals to Betts 6 steals.

Betts is probably barely in the top 10 in the National League voting.

Would have to be a ridiculous price and he’d have to have a huge 2H. I’m probably wrong but Betts is overrated to me. Just another highly paid guy in a lineup of highly paid guys. He can’t carry the load. Agreed on Freeman being the guy there. Every time I tune in Betts has a confused look on his face.

    No doubt about it.

This is what Acuna is on pace for pretty much halfway through the season (77 games)
    Halfway point..

Acuna Jr. is on pace to hit .326/34 HR's/100 RBI's, and score 140 runs, and steal 72 bases.
Yes, on a pace to steal 72.

I'm having a difficult time wrapping my head around all those numbers.

Oh, a 3.9 WAR, which is light years ahead all other outfielders.

Mookie? He's not even the MVP of the Dodgers, give me Freeman please.

Dodgers would be in third place with or without Mookie.
There's a reason why the Braves are the best NL team, Acuna.

Acuna is the clear cut NL MVP, and if he doesn't get hurt, or goes into a 20 game slump, and speed never slumps, this discussion as far as I am concerned is over.

And this guy is buried in the stats so I know it’s fact! Bang. 72 stolen bases. Damn.

Another Acuna fun fact, has the strongest average throw mph of any position player in baseball so far this season.

104 mph on the slow gun is what I read a couple of months ago.

Wow. That’s insane Nash. Way underrated stat/skill that is rarely talked about outside of baseball heads.

Yeah Betts has gone on a tear recently.

I still think Acuna should win.
