They'll just resign him for less money so that they can free up cap space. Nothing to see here.

38 years old and not an impact player anymore, easy call.

Guy couldn't even make open jump shots with all the attention Booker and Durant were getting, remember some games teams left him more wide open than Westbrook, don't know if he's absolutely done but his confidence was definitely shot

He was always more of an asset when he wasn't shooting. I hate scoring point guards.

I think it’s all a play to lower his cost per season.

Either way- Suns are in massive trouble as I’ve said before. They have high salaries, aging players as part of the core, underachieving/overpaid guys like Ayton, Booker who is a stud but won’t sit there and watch the ship sink, no picks, no bench, new ownership who overpaid, new ownership who also thinks he’s a basketball savant, brought in multiple former NBA consultants, etc… things aren’t great in Phoenix. They also have a ton of other debt on the books with their new basketball practice facility. They will be desperate to get under the tax thresholds.

You can't stretch-waive someone and sign them again. Doesn't work that way. Suns just waived goodbye to the heart & soul of their team. This new ownership group...

    Time to bring back Sarver.

Sarver thought to be a racist bigot but isn't it ironic he employed the best (by far!!!) black GM-coach combo in the league, and yet they are no more? Frank Vogel replacing Monty Williams for those that missed it.

These old farts should retire. All injury prone at this point. Via Steve Nash. Lakers will sign him because management is stupid as shit! They love signing over the hill veterans that break down mid season..

Have to agree with Otters here... Noticeable slow down during the playoffs. Easy let go. Not really a decision here. He old. Washed up.

5th in league in assists and 13th steals
playoffs he was 6th in assists and 7th in steals

As many blocks as giannis in the playoffs average.

He'll be fine on the Lakers. The suns were crap before him and will be crap after.

CP3 will never stay healthy again for a full season. Lebron the same going forward. Can't beat father time!

    Durant is funny

This is the Brooklyn Nets all over again

At least they don't have a Kyrie Irving level head case this time

Is Phoenix the odds on favourite now ???

He was in Good Morning America this morning. He did not seem too happy about the whole situation. He found out on the airplane on his way to NY.

Suns #1 issue is bench depth.
Acquiring a starting shooting guard while trading off bench depth (Shamet) is addressing the teams most pressing issue, how exactly?

Beal is legit, still doesn't solve the Suns bench problem.
    And it's a problem.

Poole doesn't fit with that team anymore. He should have been shipped out after the punch. You shouldn't have to give up picks to get chris paul though at this stage. If anything it should have been paul + a pick for Poole. In any case, Paul will be good playing against bench players. Not many pgs can come off the bench and get you 6 assists, which is what paul will do.

Call me crazy. If Paul plays for the Warriors, he'll be a nice one-year shot in the arm.

He might ride the pine and get one by sitting on a bench somewhere

Chris Paul is a 100 years old and so injury prone.
