    The UConn/St. Mary's opener

    UConn - 3.5

Interesting, I thought the opener would be more like 5 or 5.5.

I'm a UConn homer, I personally don't think St. Mary's can hang with them.
However, I've seen about 32 give or take a couple of the UConn games, either live or on TV, I've seen five or six St. Mary's games this season, those WCC games start around 11pm New England time, which is real late for me.

I used to have a FWB that had a home in San Ramon.
Nice area, Dublin is a bit of a ghetto though.

Uconn looked stronger just because they dominated Iona man to man.
Not going to be as easy vs Saint Mary's.

St. Mary's is deep in the woods. These country folks are in for a big surprise in playing the Big East. Ok, they are not country folks, but seriously, other than Gonzaga and SDSU, they haven't beaten anyone worthwhile. And mind you, Gonzaga beat them up twice after losing to them. Taking UConn and hopefully I'll win some games today and put more on UConn.

St. Mary’s definitely has the size advantage. They are monsters. UConn hasn’t played a team of this size yet, so it’ll be interesting. One reason Gonzaga has been able to beat on SMC is because they have some monsters too.

Oh yeah, they had that one player who became #1 pick from Australia years ago. Was he a bust?

I'm being sincere here, you truly are a good guy and a good sport.

I've been writing my goofy swill here for over twelve years now on a regular basis, never in my life have I seen anybody get dogpiled on like yesterday.

Way back in the day, when the T-Rex used to graze my daddy's back yard for food and your pal Nasher had a full set of hair that stuff pissed me off, I just poke fun at myself too, and just roll with it now. Nobody is being evil, remember that, misery loves company and all that other happy bullshit.

Of course I'm too close to the program.
There's a reason why I usually qualify most posts with "UConn homer checking in"

Everybody goes on a cooler, I was on one, four and eight spanning two weeks.
Looks like I got some rhythm back, I'm on SD State here, this is looking good so far.

Nothing that sticks out and screams "bet me"
Went two and one today, 'ell pick it up again Thursday, I can use a three day break from hoops.
I'll use the next three days to finalize my MLB team, I play in the NFC every season.

I found it funny watching this game. Every time they had a shot on St.Mary's coach all I could think off was jjgold coaching them and he had a bet on UConn.
