He can certainly warm the bench, but i doubt his ego would accept that at any age

it should not end like that but that is what the coach decided.

he had a good chance to be a hero and tie it up too in that game. i still think he should have played but that is just me. i do not know a lot. i also would have went to him sooner in that game once they were down. that is also easier to say in hindsight.

His attitude and comments were the reason for his benching prior to the Switzerland game. His ego has gotten the better of him during his last few years , and cost him a spot on Man Utd's bench prior to parting ways over his comments. It continued a week later with the International side until the coach did what is best for the team as a whole. Its the World Cup and not the " Ronaldo Retirement Show " as he believed it should be. I find it very sad but not surprising in the least. Its tough to say good bye to something you love and excel at. Just ask Tom Brady , its a mirror image to Ronaldo imo

Yes good points. Ronaldo also brainwashed Brady to come back when Tom went to Manchester to watch.

Dont dismiss how much the Portuguese fans and his teammates still like him.

When he came off the bench the on-field Captain ran over to put the armband on him both times.

He is a legend n Portugal and would win an election if he chose to run for president. Unfortunately for him , fans and team mates dont select the squad.

He could not start one MLS squad

Its over he is too old

He now is a token signing just to make money for organization and get fans to buy stuff and go to games

During the Euros the "experts" on SBR were arguing that Ronaldo is the best player on the team. A few months later the same guys are making fun of him. Only on SBR.
