We are looking at additional ways to earn status for members located in non-legal states, such as winning a contest, reaching a betpoint milestone, or becoming a trusted community member. More to come on that. Obviously the main focus is on the legalized market. However, we want to ensure all members can continue to participate.

Considering the top 3 states by population (California, Texas, Florida) don't have legalized sports gambling, what's the point (pun intended)? With no store, i.e. bitcoin/giftcards, points are worthless for a large majority. If I want a fukn' hat I'll buy one.

Look. My only issue is this: IF this was a limited reopening of the store then just say that & don’t run out of things in 4 hours. Also, you’re running bet point contest for fantasy football participants then pay out via PayPal like you’re doing in other contests. Just very disappointing especially for guys who don’t have legalized sports betting.

Does feel like the rug has been pulled out a little bit. Some people have been here from the 90s. That's like internet stone age. Relic or not SBR needs to be preserved with some added value.

When a company or entity is sold, the assets and liabilities are part of the negotiations. One of two things happened.

1. The old SBR threw us under the bus by slashing or drastically discounting the value of the store/points as part of
original negotiations

or

2. The new SBR owner's due diligence underestimated the value of the point system and are now backpedaling
on their original commitment to honor existing points. They are now scrambling to put together a plan that would
pacify membership.

Either way, given the total lack of transparency over the past 13 months, we will never know what really happened. They have put the mods in a shitty situation.

My pro membership is up this month and I don't see the point of staying a pro anymore. Just to participate in a few contests? Hardly makes sense. Since the purchase this place has changed so much. All the push toward the legal books yet whomever bought this place really hasn't done much to improve it and has done mostly things to make it worse for us members.

It isn't going to cost you anything apart from 1500 betpoints, which would end up with no value if you do not renew.

I mean if youre going to leave the site and focus on other things sure but with the minimal betpoints needed why not bet on the come and stay a Pro? What else would your existing points be used for? use the points go PRO and if frustrated with the place check in 6 months and see whats up? I dont see a downside.


I guess those of us willing to be in for the long haul and the mentioned potential would want less PROS, less competition for the few PRO money contests underway (next one is world cup something or another) but seems you as a long time great member should stick it out! maybe at some point SBR bling will be a collectable some day. lol. Or there is some way they actually set up some points paid forum contests for prizes. or use in sportsbooks if your state is in play. Who knows? Just not much downside.
