Don’t even start sportbetting at all, not even 1dollar.

Sportbetting will ruin your life, family house, wife, girl friend, never start sportbetting ,it could addictive more than drug at all,i never put one more dollar on the sportbetting unless California pass sportbetting.

I have many times for gambling, drug abuse, domestic violence etc etc. I do one on one sessions and group sessions which you used to be a part of. By the way you are missed in the meetings. People still talk about you. I even have ones mixed with Americans and Vietnamese , kind of like a cross culture support group. Some have even become friends offline. God Bless, there is hope.

What percentage of guys do you think can practice money management?
seems to me, so many shove all-in on a game or two, reload, rinse repeat, eventually bust out

    I don't get that part.

Anyway, I hope you can muster the internal fortitude and get what ever external help you need to conquer your demon.

Nobody practice money management because most people don't have a large bankroll to start. Need at least 10K or 20K to make betting 1% to 3% worth it. People just use their weekly extra money and try to run up the balance.

English is not my first language, but are you saying that you would bet if California makes it legal? Why would you do that?

I was that guy for years until I smartened up and learned to control my emotions and impulses better.

Once in a blue moon I'll have a hiccup like that but for the most part I'm able to just walk away and wave the white flag...remember, there is always tomorrow.

it is hard for a good percentage to learn money management, including me. once i adjusted i don't have to constantly reload and it is a blessing. gambling is fun again while before it was draining mentally and monetarily.

I used to try and win every day...that is impossible.

Many times I turned small losses into massive ones by tilting and chasing. I might as well just flush my money down the toilet when I'm in that manic chasing mindset.

Finally, i learned to just wave the white flag when I can see that it is just not my day. Do something else the rest of the day and come back fresh with a better mindset tomorrow, next week or whenever.

    Sort of.

Keep grinding. A day (or even week or month) is arbitrary time frame. Just keep making great wagers, knowing that you will lose on some days or even some weeks, but overall you will win.

I never look at it as "my day" or not though. I've had so many days that start terrible and end up great. If I gave up because I had a bad start, that would be terrible. If you lose, grind even harder.

What works for me might not work for you and vice versa.

It sounds like we gamble for different reasons, I can usually see the writing on the wall very early in the day and I'll move onto something else if need be.

The arbitrary time frame meaning "however long it takes to clear your head and make good decisions".

I gamble mostly for entertainment so if I'm constantly getting kicked in the nuts, i can find better things to do with my time.

I agree with this. I've started out days down big and feeling like shit but I believe in what I do and end up doing great by days end.

I disagree with "not even 1 dollar". I encourage all newbies to start betting $1 for a few years and watch your bankroll shrink even with $1. Just imagine if you were betting $100 while your bankroll shrinks. $1 bets until you know how to fade the public and bet underdogs.
