I'm old enough to know that very few losing teams make the playoffs. I'm also old enough to remember the 9-7 Giants winning the Super Bowl. Lower seeds have done it before. Again, I do not think Tampa will do it, but it's certainly not impossible.

They also got "lucky". The best team doesn't always win. Any team in the playoffs has a chance. Any. Simple as that. The Giants were not the best team that season and probably don't win the SB more than 1 out of 100 simulations. But they won that one.
