I think the bigger question is whether Tua is playing and how ready to go he'll be

Would love for Tua not to play and get Bridgewater at a huge spread in this spot.

The only chance Cincy has is if Bridgewater should have to come in
Truth of the matter if Skylar Thompson should have to come in
This team would be more deadlier
And if Xavier Howard should live up to his contract

What people donít even realize is
If anyone did watch the Buffalo
Game Miamiís offense barely got on the field..
Miamiís defense only needs to be average and good luck trying to cover that speed w that garbage eli apple

Not so sure. They had nothing against Buffalo after the comeback but found a way to win. Outgained by 270 yards That was their down game. Thinking they will have a bad day off the comeback and the huge Bills game is faulty because they got lucky to win against the Bills They were spent coming in but found a way. Now they will be reinvigorated.
Not touching the game they could get blown out but could win SU
I don't think that Bills game took much out of them
    Everyone thinks Bengals are back
All they did was beat a trash Jets team off a game they shouldn't have won

If the injuries to Tua and Waddle are major plus the Dolphins coming off a big win plus Dolphins pass defense is the worst in the league plus the Bengals defense with home field then this is a good spot to bet the Bengals. If Dolphins keep it close to 3 or win straight up then I would be surprised by that.

This is an interesting handicap, at minimum. Listen to this guy:

I'm not sure I agree with him about the Dolphins being a "public dog."

Can it really be that big of a Sharp/Square split? I think people are trying to evaluate the real merits of MIA vs CIN:

    1) Bengals look like one of the weakest Super Bowl representatives I can think of.
    2) CIN has played a very weak Schedule, YTD.

Ya I think cincy kind of snuck into the Super Bowl last year. Kansas City picked a bad day to not show up

My take is fading the public is mostly a waste of time. Generally there is as much money fading the pubilc as there is the public, on any given game. There can be a game or there where it matters, but there are plenty of games where you get trapped in it.

And the reasons is...what one bookmaker said, that makes total sense. They don't care what the public bets on, because eventually they will lose money. Win this week, it ends up in the book anyways.

My money is on the Bengals ML. this guy is taking Bengals -3.5. Not a lot of sharp guys I can imagine take -3.5. That is scru spread #1 in the NFL, right over the key #, and you can be sure they are rooting for a Bengals win with a Miami cover.

wiser, appreciate the post. A few thoughts:

*I don't think the sharp/square split is as clear as it used to be. I think back to days when games were clearly an 80/20 split to the Fav. Guys indiscriminately betting the Fav.

Ask them for one statistical reason to justify their selection. And they'll just start rambling. Verbal diarrhea, sounds a lot like these Youtube clips.

I think this game (in particular) is an interesting cap. The guys holding CIN -2.5 tickets have to feel good. Other than that, I don't know, I think there's reason to think the Bengals aren't that good.

Yeah i think there's reason to believe the Bengals aren't that good. Burrow ties Wentz with 15 sacks. Their pass protection is poor, and I wonder how long before Burrow and Wentz get injured again.
But the Dolphins defense had 90 plays last game. That was tops in the league with the Rams 81 being second. And we're talking a short week, and guy (Tua) with injuries. It's just not a good spot for a road team on a short week.

As for used to be, you're right. These days most everyone has stats for everything including splits, which they can get right away. I have yet to hear a guy say he's going to vote with the public.

I have no clue what to spect in this game. The line reeks Cinci but I think Mia starts off strong and fades in the 2nd half but can the Bengals come back strong? Under 49 seems like the play to me??

First half cashed with the Dolphins and 2nd half and game went to the Bungles... And the Under was never in doubt. Trifecta.

Yeah, never understood the logic of some on here wanting the gals 1H due to tired fish def from last Sunday. I just went full game though as didn't want to overthink it. Sometimes it's not about the best team, but best situation. Though I thought I had both. Will have to readjust as Dolphins def impressed me. Congrats on the tri!

    laker good call

i expected more from Cincy. if this game was played on a Sunday and Tua does not get hurt i see this being a lot different. happy i was on the right side but as i mentioned this was a situational spot.
