Kyle Shanahan is putrid. In the first quarter, he challenges a 4-yard catch on first down for Chicago at the Bears 25-yard-line. He won the challenge, but just a dumb move to waste a challenge that early on a 4-yard catch on first down.

Matt Ruhle is another idiot and should be fired ASAP. Down 2, Panthers break a huge play to the Browns 15. The Browns defense was gassed. He then runs 3 times into the line and kicks a FG, leaving them time to come back down and match the FG for a win. He should have played aggressive and at least tried to score a TD to ensure a victory.

I counted 20 seconds the Bengals Coaching staff handed Pitt in a gift basket at the end of the game in OT with less then a minute showing on the clock at the time of the punt with no timeouts.

The game would have ended in a tie for sure if you don't give Pitt those 20 seconds unless they deliver a hail marry throw which was very unlikely.

Jets tried that with Herm Edwards. If a team gets to that point with a coach, it's hopeless. Taylor has made a ton of blunders his first 3 years in the league. It's not hard to run the clock down there and know what's going on. Just incredible.

On September 10, 1978, Raiders quarterback Ken Stabler, ahem, fumbled the ball on the last play of regulation in a game against the Chargers.

Raiders players, ahem, muffed the ball into the end zone, where the they fell on it for a winning touchdown as the clock hit zero.

Later, Stabler said that he had intentionally fumbled the ball forward to keep the last, desperate play alive. In the off-season, the NFL changed the rules so that on fourth down, or in the last two minutes of a half, only the fumbling player can recover a fumble, advance and keep the yardage. If another offensive player recovers the fumble, they still keep it, but the officials return the ball to the spot of the fumble.
