There's definitely someone from PA on here who plays professionally, weather they still are active members is another story, it's hard but definitely beatable if you put the time into it.

WOW, I'm 25 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh had no clue the bad beat was up to a milly, going to have to go down this week. Hopefully it's not hit tonight.

I forget his name but there was a guy on here that said he made millions playing live weekend tourneys in Pennsylvania. I think he said a lot of crazy stuff though.

Impossible if it's only in PA. PA has never had anything bigger than the Parx Big Stax series which were still small buy ins. $300,$500,$1100 buy ins I believe.

The entire East Coast is dead for poker tournaments now. Used to have Parx, Borgata, Harrahs/Ballys (WSOPC) and Foxwoods. Now nobody does anything. No series, nothing. Staffing issues. They could run a flight tournament where you have 3-5 days of Day 1's or even run Day 1a/Day1b stuff to get big prizepools, but they don't.

It's not dead at all. The WSOP ME may have a record field this year for a $10,000 buy in when the economy is not great and crypto collapsing.

They just don't have the staffing for tournaments . Cash games running just fine.

Poker started being popular when the WSOP on ESPN was a big thing. Then all these average Joes thought they could make it big. Is WSOP even on ESPN any more? That fad just seemed to have died.

Remember Chris MoneyMaker on ESPN. That was cool, now it’s dead.

Being in Vegas during WSOP is just fun if you like to play poker.

Donkeys from all over the world in every poker room make the games more fun.

Bingo! A total lack of noobs at every room make it tough to get an edge. Even tournaments are a crapshoot once you get halfway through.
