    Las Vegas July 22 - 25

Will be in town for a quick weekend trip. I heard an off the strip restaurant to check out is a place called Bootleggers. Anyone recommended or otherwise pass? Looking for a place with some old school charm. Thanks.

Where are you going to be posting up and betting? Nobody gives a fukk about restaurants, well except landers. I eat at whatever restaurants the hotel I’m staying at has, if the food sucks OH WELL. I got games to worry about. Not how great something tastes I’m just going to s*** out later.

I was told there is a restaurant close to the Mandalay bay called bootleggers that was worth checking out. After grinding at the day tlime sports games I like to try a new restaurant to unwind a bit before hitting the table games at night. Just my M.O. I'll post my plays and tickets but we'll be at the Mandalay Bay for most of the trip.

Italian joint. Their last health inspection was on April 19, 2022. The restaurant received 10 demerits and the bar received 6. That's way too many for me. Your mileage may vary.

Here's what the locals recommended to me

    Herbs and Rye - Steak

    Jjanga - Sushi

I ate at Cut, STK, Red 8, Sugarcane, Yardbird, and LAVO last week. The only places that I would recommend are Yardbird, STK, and Sugarcane. LAVO was awful and thank god I didn't pay. Cut is overrated and not worth the money. Red 8 was awful except for the dim sum but you could easily get better dim sum in chinatown. I heard also that Mott 32 was the bomb.

    There you go.

Yardbird is terrible. Most overrated place I've ever been. The Grand Lux Cafe in the Venetian is 20x better with 20x more options for a fraction of the price.

Best way to unwind is f**** a hooker, then pound some booze and pass out cold.

    Top 5 Off Strip:

    1. Piero’s
    2. Echo & Rig
    3. Herbs & Rye
    4. Oyster Bar Palace Station
    5. Golden Steer

    Top 5 On Strip:

    1. Mastro’s Ocean Club
    2. Yellowtail Bellagio
    3. Sinatra Encore
    4. Bazaar Meats Jose Andres
    5. Delilah Wynn amazing food (hard to get into unless you are celeb or black card)

Love Carbone as well. Lived between here in Scottsdale for 20 years. Outstanding food out here. I’m out 2-3 nights a week. SW is good at Wynn and Bellagio Prime has great views and great food.

I haven't done that in a long time

    Google actually paid for it.

    Things I hated about LAVO
    - Chairs suck - very uncomfortable they do not want you sitting around enjoying your meal
    - Meatball app was meh
    - Waiter called everybody "friend" sfannoying
    - The dish that this asshole recommended was the seabass. It came out charred and desiccated. It was like a vampire sucked all of the fat and juices out of it. Plus it tasted fishy and was just flat out disgusting.
    - Waiter had no idea what green Chartreuse was and had to repeatedly ask the bartender about liquor and drinks

anyways I should have fukkin dashed but there was this hot chick who was a competitive muy thai fighter at dinner so I didn't want to bail.

I always laugh when people ask where are the good places to eat in Vegas. You can ask 100 people and get 100 different answers.

The Grand Lux Cafe is a rebranded Cheesecake Factory. I used to eat there on poker comps all the time. Pretty good food and massive portions. I liked the Pasta Carbonara there, but don't expect anything beyond what you'd get at any other Cheesecake Factory.

What kind of food do you like? Vegas is a great food city, but it's a little easier to give suggestions if you can narrow it down a tad.

    Have fun on your trip!
