    The Browns were expecting something like this to happen. That's why the first year of his contract is only paying him $1,035,000. He'll still get the majority of his money starting in Year 2. This will be the one year Jacoby Brissett era for the Browns in 2022.

    If they hadn't done everything in their power to piss Mayfield off, the Browns could go ahead and let him play out his contract, in a sign of goodwill, that could potentially increase his worth in free agency. Instead they are getting offered pennies on the dollar for him, and could very well be cutting him instead.

    I'm cheering for Mayfield whereever he lands. Is he the best qb in the world? No, but i think hes more than capable of being a good qb for a decent team and he got railroaded bad in Cleveland. The guy has heart and passion and wants to win. I see 75% of the league on Sundays not show that kind of effort every Sunday
