he has the 40 before august and even went 1 over with 2 to play. he has a definite shot. 10 hrs each month is very reasonable for him even with cold streaks.

it is good the astros are close to the yankees cause even boone won't sit him with home field questionable after their tremendous start.

Judge is at the HR total point now where he can reach sixty with two days off in August and two days off in September.
He's now at the point where he has enough 'cushion' to rest a few days and still maintain a sixty pace.

Good on him, he's not an asshole lie Bonds was, or Dave Kingman was.
He's like Junior was, easy to root for, a genuine nice guy.
I'm a KC Royals fan, we suck except once every twenty five years we do something really special.
In 2014-2015, I was told by a few that work in MLB that they are rooti8ng for me and KC, because they were likeable and respectful.

Junior Griffey and Judge are the same way.

    Get 'er done Aaron!

He fisted that HR yesterday, opposite field yet.

He's either that strong, or Manfred the Clown is playing games with the superball again.

I'm old school, I get more pumped over a pitching matchup, for instance, Maddux v. Pedro than a HR derby, but this is special.
The last time I got this giddy about a HR derby was Sosa and Mac.

This one is about Judge and the record book.
This is just what MLB needs, a HR slugger in a city like New York, making a run at immortality.
A shot in the arm for a league that could use one considering the Park Ave. executives led by Manfred the Clown are doing everything in their power to fuk up my sport.

I'm going to be paying attention now, I am curious about the hardballs they are using when NYY and Judge are playing.

    George Howard Brett.
Played with the same team for twenty one seasons, cradle to grave.
    All Star thirteen consecutive seasons.
Three times won a Silver Slugger.
Finished in the top twenty in the MVP voting eleven times.
Finished in the top three in the MVP voting four times, twice as a runner up, and won the MVP award in 1980
Was ALCS MVP in 1985 when they eventually, finally, won it all beating the Cards in that insane World Series.
Oh, he's a member of that Hall of Fame thingy.

    Clutch?
    You bet.
    .337 career post season hitter.
    .373 career World Series hitter.

The only better third baseman in his generation was Michael Jack Schmidt.
Not Nettles, Brooks was only a mediocre hitter, but the best fielding third baseman of his time.
You could make a case for Chipper, but no.
Shout out to Boggs and Beltre, but no again.

The best of this generation, and will wind up top six of all time is Nolan Arenado.
Don't kid yourself, even though those years at Coors didn't hurt, he can rake on the road too.
And Arenado is hands down, easily the best fielding third baseman since 2000
He's only won gold at third all nine seasons he's played.
And that includes his rookie year too.

I think the league is back to the juiced balls.
Manfred the Clown is the shot caller there, Rawlings still makes the ball, but MLB owns Rawlings outright.
Rawlings works for MLB, they're not independent any longer.

Before Stanton went down pitchers had no choice but to come into Judge, I think opposing managers don't want any part of AJ, but what to do?

DJ leads off and he's an on base machine.
Gets on at .390 clip, top ten in OBA.
And DJ can do things on the base paths too, he'll still swipe bases, just not at the rate he did when he was a kid playing in Denver.

Which brings us to Judge, batting second in the lineup.
There's a 40% chance DJ is already on base, and he's annoying to pitchers.
DJ is doing those juke moves towards second base, false starts and stops, you know, things lead off hitters do if they get on base.
Judge is in the batters box, the pitcher needs to pay attention at first base, and at the same time has to worry about making a mistake to Judge, if so, the game is already 1-0, or worse.

You have no choice but to come in to Judge, especially if the lead off man got on base, because behind Judge in the order is usually Stanton, Rizzo, Donaldson, and the rest of those sticks.

You pitch around Judge, now what, you might have two on and no outs, with Stanton, and Rizzo on deck.
If so, you're facing a potential five run defect before you sit your ass in the seat, before your beer has a chance to get warm and the first inning to complete.

Judge is on what I like to call a "magic carpet ride"
For openers he's been pretty much 100 percent healthy all season.
He is blessed with a God given talented lineup, with protection in front of him and behind him.
He's seeing the ball with radar like vision all season, as mentioned is 100 percent and with his build can smack a ball out of Yellowstone Park.

He's must see TV, he's got everything going on, and he's producing like no hitter I've seen in the last 25 - 30 years.
A dream season, a career year that comes around about once every twenty five years, or as often as my beloved KC Royals win World Series.

If one is any sort of sports fan, and is not paying attention to what he is doing, well you only have yourself to blame.
    A magic carpet ride.

The yankees were 64-28 at the break. Since then, they’ve gone 14-23. Last two games at Oakland they had five hits in 20 innings and they faced only bad pitchers, really.

1984 Tigers started their season 35-5.
Did you expect them to finish the season 142-20?

Of course not, after the 35-5 start they went 69-53.

Funny thing about those 162 game seasons, things almost always level off.
