The whole "Meatloaf" thing (starting out from the late '70's) is an acquired taste.
    I get that.

I agree, Meat really only had one good song. He kinda sucked ass. His side chick on stage was hot though.

Bat out of hell was just noise, I will do anything for love was his one good hit in my opinion and that's it. Overrated with everything else..

all 7 songs on Bat Out of Hell are excellent. Rock Classics.

It all depends on your taste.

To each their own I guess. I love rock classics and am a music lover but never really liked Meat Loaf songs for some reason. I thought they were all garbage.

When I think of rock classics I think of Led Zep, AC/DC, Boston, etc. Not Meat Loaf.

there’s something we can agree on…whoda thunk it…..although Boston, ehhhhh is more towards the meatloaf end of the spectrum than the Zep side for my liking.

It's one thing for a healthy 30 year old to pass. But a fatass 74 year old passing on the vaccine is pretty much suicide.

In 1977 he and some chick sang at my high school. Seen him at a concert in Cleveland in 77 and went to Columbus in 2011? I love him. I karaoke 2 out of 3 ain’t bad.Guy had a great voice where he didn’t need the loud instrumentals. Also rudgren made him a better singer.

yup and I remember reading something about when they approached record companies with Bat Out Of Hell, how they were hesitant because didn't think it was gonna sell. Its still in the top 10 all time selling albums. I can't remember if any record companies did pass on it but if they did, they must be kicking themselves still like the Trail Blazer organization for passing up on Jordan in the draft.

He did play football and baseball in high school. Big dude and I'm sure he knocked people out of the box. Apparently he was athletic at one time, you'd think he would have kept his weight down later on in life.

They had a hard time trying to convince Phil Rizzuto to do the play by play on Paradise by the Dashboard Light. "The Scooter" was old school and thought he was participating in an album that strung out hippies would listen to while getting high. He honestly did not understand the concept of first, second, third or home plate until one of the producers explained it to him.

    RIP Mr. Loaf

I know I'm getting older myself and my six pack is gone.

It's about diet. I drink to much Tequila and wine and that's what gave me a little gut today. I cut that out I may get my six pack back in no time even at age 53. Gotta stay some what active also.

You can lose the weight if you really want to. Lay off the cheese and bread. Soda's and beer also. Eat a salad.
