Most don’t have the patience either to stick to a plan.

You either need the capital or have a lot of patience and tenacity to build it up.
But you don't need all the people around you. Certainly I suppose that could help, but it can definitely be done solo. Although if you run into nothing but severely limited accounts, then you could get stuck.
It takes:
- funding
- knowledge
- discipline
- time
- good outs
With those things, it's guaranteed winning.
I'm sure we must have others here doing this, they just don't want to say.

Decent, but it'd be better to have more. The contradiction here is the best accounts to use to do this would be the squarest of the squares with long history if being square and losing. Those accounts are super valuable.

True, although you still need sufficient bankroll to handle variance and maintain funding at a variety of outs. The more you have the more you make and if you don't have much it just won't be worth the time investment.

It doesn't come as a surprise but it's also not a surprise that most sportsbettors have themselves convinced that they are the "one" who can do it.
