110 million, 6 million dollar house, million dollars over ask on his two homes, unlimited jet access for his family. I call this an intelligent move. I’d rather be a quitter with that reward then a dummy for staying. In the end when you die a national championship at Oklahoma doesnt create epic generational wealth but 110 million sure does. This isn’t even debateable.

Kelly did not leave ND for the money. He could have easily negotiated for more money. He left for one reason only. He wants to win a National Championship. He has ZERO chance of winning one at ND. Have you compared their recruiting to LSU's? LSU has the top talent EVERY year on par with Bama, Clemson and Ohio State. Kelly was sandbagged by academic requirements at ND. It didn't matter what QB he had. He could get the top QB from the transfer portal. His teams would NEVER beat top SEC teams. Those of you thinking ND has a chance of winning a title this year have been sniffing glue. There is ZERO chance. Kelly knows that.

It gets tiring when you bust your ass every day, 24/7, build a team with blood sweat and tears and then prepare to play a team that you know and they know are 10x more talented. EVERY TIME Kelly has played a top tiered team, not only have they lost, they've gotten their clocks cleaned. That shit gets old. Give him LSU talent, where they grow 5 stars on trees down there. That is something that would excite any coach. The money has very little to do with it.

    ----------------------------------
Kelly's move from Notre Dame to LSU has to do with one thing: challenging for a national championship. More specifically, it has to do with improved recruiting. That may seem counterintuitive considering Kelly has seven seasons of 10 or more wins with the Fighting Irish, including five straight. They also have made the College Football Playoff twice, in 2018 and '20 and, before that, were a participant in the 2013 BCS championship game.

But the Fighting Irish were manhandled in each of those appearances, losing to Alabama (2012 and 2020) and Clemson (2018) by a combined score of 103-31 — an average margin of defeat of 24 points per game. They have not won the equivalent of a New Year's Day 6 bowl game since a 24-21 Cotton Bowl victory over Texas A&M on Jan. 1, 1994.

Moreover, Kelly is 1-8 against top-10 opponents since arriving at Notre Dame in 2010, and 3-10 against top-10 opponents.

He left for the money. Notre Dame is not spending $10 million on a football coach. At least, they are not going to be the first to do it. They are selling win one for the gipper. They are not willing to pay top dollar like the SEC. The SEC is old school corruption. They will pay whatever it takes.

Don't blame the coach, blame the NCAA system.

Kelly didn't quit, he was made an offer her couldn't refuse.

I wouldnt leave a situation Im happy in solely for extra money when Im already filthy rich, but if If u present me a better situation and extra money to boot yea Id leave. therefore I dont think they left solely or even mostly for the money but it took a iimprovement, in their eyes, of their situations for them to leave.

skippy's entire argument is based on that they left (quit) because of poor QB play..
What he fails to realize ( or more probable, understand) is that OU has the #5 rated QB in the NCAA in Williams..

dont think that was it. from wut Ive heard riley emphatically didnt wanna go to sec and I wouldnt either. if there's a bama of the big 12 it was prob oklahoma and for first few yrs at least he'd be up against it with the tenn's and uk's of the world. under riley sooners had great records because of offense mainly their defenses nationally have struggled, 70th this yr in yds/game. so he'd have to shore up the defense in a new conference where the kids arnt used to oklahoma in their native sec. saban, smart, kiffin, stoops, fisher, etc. those are some heavy hitter names. oklahoma will prob be somewhat mediocre by oklahoma standards at least the first few yrs in sec. usc can only go up from here an underachieving and disorganized program with tons of talent and a goldmine for a recruiting base coupled with the crazy contract and insane perks it becomes a no brainer.

I would do the same? Um.... how many collegiate football coaches could have jumped ship??? They aren't the only ones. People watch this kind of stuff.... I wouldn't want these fukks coaching my football team. And when they screw up the school they just went to.... they'll be coaching Miami of Ohio after this. That's the only job they'll be able to get. Wake the fukk up.

    Dumb shits.

Neither coach left for more money, Oklahoma and notre Dame would have matched their contracts in a second on a per year basis.

Caleb Williams is also not that good, he ran up his stats against trash teams in the big 12. He didn't look good at all against Oklahoma state, the first good team he's faced, he couldn't get a first down in the second half.

Notre Dame and Oklahoma both have issues at quarterback, both coaches saw it will be harder to win there moving forward. They left not for money or to upgrade, they left because they didn't recruit well enough at quarterback position, they quit.

Kelly didn't even give Notre Dame a chance to match LSUs offer, he quit.

And it's confirmed Kelly's BASE is 9.5 million, I never said his BASE was 15 million.
Kelly can make UP TO 15 million per year if all the incentives are met.

    This is 100 percent confirmed.

One guy spent 12 years, winning more games than any other coach in that school's history with no championships. Leaves for a school with 2 championships in the last 15 years, with arguably lesser coaches. Hotbed for recruiting without the restrictions. Every player qualified to play at ND would be so at LSU, the reverse not so much. Throw in all the jack, what's so hard to understand?

The other guy has 2 qbs with Heisman trophies and another who finished runner up, all starting in the NFL, yet he's "quitting" because he can't get a qb Only in Moron-o land. The cash, gratuitites, location, recruiting base make it a no-brainer.
