Why should Michigan be leapfrogged by Alabama if they smoke Iowa?

Iowa blows. Georgia was number 1. It's up to the committee

they most likely will not want a rematch of Bama v Georgia in the semis, so i think it will be:

    1. Bama
    2. Mich (if they beat Iowa, regardless of margin of victory)
    3. Georgia
    4. Cincy

Because Bama is the better team and after today would be favored over any team in the country?

Could see a 10-point swing in the line, from Ga -6 today to Bama -3.5/4

just look at last year when Clemson beat Notre dame in the ACC title game and then the committee made sure Clemson played Ohio State in the semis and Notre Dame dropped to #4 so they played #1 Bama instead of a rematch with Clemson in the semis.

Then why were they rated above Alabama this week? The .anipulation is always strong in the CFP. I agree Alabama s probably better, but why did the committee rate them lower this week? To leapfrog Michigan after they both win is nonsense. I already understand they like for the SEC to have two shots at getting a team in the championship, but it's annoying and I usually whine about it this time of year.

That's what I'm thinking. I doubt Bama is an underdog again anytime soon no matter who they play and if they play Georgia I don't think they'll be favored by more than 4.

I actually had no problem with Michigan being rated higher before today, but Alabama putting up 41 on a defense that had allowed 41 points all year (lol exaggerating for effect) was probably the best win by any team this season and enough to leapfrog Michigan even without any help from the committee.

the committee is supposed to reshuffle the deck each week with the latest results that come in.

it's not that they thought UM was better than Bama per se, but that UM deserved to be ranked higher due to Body of Work.

Bama's body of work took a huge leap this week by their thrashing, yes thrashing, of #1 and 12-0 Georgia.

based on their criteria, they are absolutely justified in moving Bama to #1.

sorry Bro, but you have not read the criteria that the CFP committee follows, and i do not blame you because 98% of sports fans and human beings have not read it.

i just happen to be a CFB fanatic to the Nth degree times 1000 so i read it word for word.

    Here are the seedings:

    #1 Georgia
    #2 Alabama
    #3 Michigan
    #4 Cincinnati

You have 3 teams with 1 loss and they have to look at all 13 games they played to determine seedings and not just the last game they played.

This is why Michigan was ahead of Michigan St at some point even though they lost to them.

They should make the two sec teams play each other, it’s stupid to have two teams from same conference in finals

Everyone sleeping on Cincy. They have NFL talent at QB, WR, TE, DL, DB. They outplayed UGA for majority of game last year in my opinion. Some poor clock management basically gave it away at end. And until today, they had arguably the best win of the year at ND.

Yes, we are pulling for the Bearcats. The wife is an alum and is actually watching college football very closely the past month or so. Pretty cool.

You have lost your fukkking mind if you think Cinci can hang with Bama or UGA. Of course they outplayed UGA last year. UGA didn't give a fuk about that game and had like 10 guys sit out.

All you have to do is look to the SEC OOC. They absolutely demolish teams not named SEC. Cinci is a great cinderella story but the slippers and dress come off shortly.
