That's what I trying to explain to meatloaf for brains.
A Notre Dame in a final four would generate ten times more revenue than a Cincinnati.
Clearly, like I said, he has no clue on how the game is played off the field and behind closed doors.

NCAA is just as crooked as the NBA.

Its not that much money at stake for those conferences. The difference between a team making a playoff game and and a non playoff bowl game is $2M.... Not that much in the bigger picture of the NCAA revenue

And prolly not enough for coaches to collude and throw games IMO

But the conferences don't want to shoot themselves in the foot and not have a team from their conference not be in the Final Four. So when ESPN tells you the committee decided who is going to be in the Final Four is all smokescreen. The decision was made by the executives of CBS and Fox and ESPN on whose is going to play who to maximize TV revenue. They probably run all different scenarios to find the matchups to maximize their profits.

    You totally missed my argument.
    I'll repeat it.
If Cincinnati defeats Houston of course and undefeated Bearcats team will remain top four.
HOWEVER (this is the important part you may have missed, if Houston beats Cincinnati, ND will be fourth ranked and in the top four.
No way, no how, will ND be left out if both teams have one loss.

And in the eleven years I've been posting here when have I ever not admit when I'm wrong.

I’d be shocked if we don’t get some kind of upset in the 4 games that matter. Aside from Georgia, who’s in anyways, none of these teams are that great. Now they have a ton of pressure on them to boot while the other team can play loose. Notre dame is going to end up in there probably

    Cincinnati Houston
    Georgia Bama
    Ok St Baylor
    Michigan Iowa

Idk man? Baylor could easily win, but Idk if they need that help? Iowa is too slow to beat Michigan even coming off huge emotional letdown. UC just outclasses Houston. Can't see that happening. Personally I think if Bama lost like 24-20 I'd take them over ND? ND should've lost to friggin Toledo for Gods sake. No quality wins really? A 12-1 Ok St team should def pass them too, but politics/NBC/market share might screw the boys from nowhere Stillwater, OK. ND has a piss poor chance either way imo, but then again I didn't think Auburn would beat Alabama and they should have.

12-1 Ok State team would have 5 wins over ranked teams (KState & Texas were ranked when they beat them) plus closing with 2 wins over top 10 teams. Thats vastly superior to ND no matter how you slice it except TV revenues

Exactly, this is why Nash arguments are so dumb. Notre Dame has beaten no one good and they lost at home by double digits to Cincinnati.

Hard to believe human being can be as dumb as dumb shit Nash.

    Dumb shits.

Hard to believe there is anyone dumb enough to think Notre Dame, a team with no resume, could get in over a team they lost to by double digits at home.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish sit at 10-1 and 6th in the playoff rankings. They have needed style points down the stretch, and style points they have delivered. I look for them to continue piling on the points and cover against the hapless Stanford Cardinal this weekend.

-Notre Dame is a perfect 6-0 SU & 6-0 ATS in its last six games overall.

-Each of the last five wins have come by double-digits, including the 55-0 win over Georgia Tech last week.

-Stanford is 0-6 SU & 0-6 ATS in its last six games overall. The Cardinal really appear to have packed it in in their last three games.
-They followed up a 45-point loss to Utah with a 21-point loss to Oregon State and a 30-point loss to California..

-Stanford is 0-9 ATS in its last nine games following two or more consecutive losses. The Cardinal are 0-9-2 ATS in their last 11 November games

-Stanford is 1-7 ATS in its last eight home games, and it will actually feel like a home game for Notre Dame Today.
Thanks Harry, I parlayed this with clemson -11 and cashed!

if LSU wants him tomorrow, he’s gone. He has a team meeting at 7am, so he’s probably gone. Why would they want to play for a lame-duck coach?

He's leaving because he knows the nd quarterback okay will be shit the next several years. Same reason Riley is leaving, Rattler sucks so he is screwed.

Both coaches failed to recruit a good quarterback so they are bailing. Very cowardly.

Kelly is leaving Notre Dame because of money. While his salary is private, it is believed to be $5-7 million per year for the Irish.
Lsu came in with a huge offer, and that’s why Kelly is leaving:

The number being reported by Matt Fortuna and Brody Miller of The Athletic is 10 years and north of $100 million with incentives. At roughly a deal of $15 million per year gives him more than what Ed Orgeron made in 2021. Or any other coach for that matter.

I'm not really a ND fan, but Kelly is a piece of shit! No doubt about it. If LSU wants you then they'll wait. You recruit kids and they work hard for a chance at a National Championship and you leave the week before you could be in? That just f's up the entire sport?

If Georgia beats Bama then all ND needs is for Michigan, Cincy, Or Ok State to lose.

Multiple sources are reporting the same number.
This from NCAAA and CBS national writer Dennis Dodd.

    (20) Dennis Dodd on Twitter: "Brian Kelly to LSU confirmed. @PeteThamel first. Hearing salary will be in $15 million per year range. DC Marcus Freeman obvious ND interim but also could be auditioning. Is this Matt Campbell's time?" / Twitter

How is it the guy who posts off an iPhone at SBR knows more than the elite sports writers/reporters from the likes of CBS, The Athletic, and others.

The Athletic only hires the best of the best, Hall of Fame reporter types, that get paid to get iit right, but according to Thom they're all dumb shits, they're wrong and he's right.

    How does that work exactly?
