If you're gonna post about a game..
then post what you think. If you're gonna post a bet then write it in English. Today I bet $ amount not units they don't count. Then record and post your wins and losses. Keep track of every every bet you made. Simple, how hard is that? Nobody does that here.

What was wrong with what I said? What is a unit? I quit gambling many years ago and have a proven break even record since. That is better than a lot of people here. That is my write up and record. This is a public discussion forum. I follow things and post accordingly.
I bet when you were in Econ 101 you argued with the professor on what's a widget.
In NYC the book used to take bets over the phone and the code amount on the bet was an amount in "times". So a ten time bet would be $50 each "time" would be $5. He wouldn't take a widget or a unit bet. Does anyone still call a local book for bets? Do you express the bet amount in $ or some other term. Maybe if I explained to him that a widget or a unit was $5 he would take it?

It's been many years since I quit gambling besides a couple of bucks here and there with someone I know who has an online account. I don't really have a new vice now. I'll never forget the day I quit. I put a larger than usual amount on a NCAA basketball game. I think it was North Carolina $350 they didn't cover. I got so pissed that I threw a Michelob bottle against the wall making a dent. That was it for me.

Well I was a gambler but gave it up...
I used to make trips to AC to play blackjack in my NJ days. I worked at the AMEX in NYC so the book was an easy connection. No I didn't bet a lot but it adds up after a few 10 time or 20 time bets. I had many vices from back in NYC days, you know what I mean but gave them up. Now I only have 1 or 2 to give up and that's it. Soon I hope and believe.
