I don't fully understand the whole NFL tv packages that NFL has with each network but essentially FOX has NFC and CBS has AFC but there's a "cross-flex" policy where CBS can have NFC game. Since FOX has TNF there will be sometimes CBS then can get an NFC game such as today.

I didn't watch any NFL today. The non-stop commercials and breaks in the game are a big turn off. I watched 2 soccer games on ESPN+ for 4 hours without commercials and I feel so much better. Kept looking at the NFL scores on the computer but I didn't watch any commercials.

Commercials still pay the bills for the NFL. Can't have any network TV without advertising.

Actually they don't need to show commercials. All other sports have managed to thrive without showing the amount of commercials NFL shows. There is no way a 60 min. game taking 3.5 hrs to finish.

Thank you Minne. I knew it had to be a legitimate reason because I was headed to Fox to watch the game, but I heard the CBS crew say the Packers/Seahawks are coming up next. I had to look up to see if I was on the right channel. I was watching the Titans/Saints game at the time.
