LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -- Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III is accused of DUI resulting in death after a fatal crash Tuesday morning in the west Las Vegas Valley, according to LVMPD.

According to police, the fiery crash occurred at approximately 3:39 a.m. near S. Rainbow Boulevard and Spring Valley Parkway and involved a Chevrolet Corvette and a Toyota Rav4.

LVMPD says that responding officers located the Toyota on fire, and fire crews responded and located a deceased victim inside the Toyota. The preliminary investigation indicates the front of the Chevrolet collided with the rear of the Toyota, police say.

Police said the driver of a Chevrolet Corvette, identified as 22-year-old Henry Ruggs III, remained on scene and showed signs of impairment.

Police said Ruggs was transported to UMC to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

LVMPD says Ruggs will be charged with DUI resulting in death.

Didn't a WR kill someone driving drunk a few years ago? I think he hit a guy from Mexico, paid the family some settlement and was back in football not long after??? Seemed like it was a Dolphin WR, maybe Raiders? About 5 years ago?

We may have to wait for the toxicology report. They say he appeared impaired. Well, if you just got in a huge car wreck, you are going to come out of it looking impaired, woozy and messed in the head. He probably was drunk or high but still.

Damn, that was 2009. It seems like around 2015. Man time flies.

The real questions here is his blood alcohol level and if the 22 year old he killed was a Mexican or black. If so, he'll probably get off with a hand slap. If there was a dog in the car.... HE'S FUKKKED.

Ruggs is 22…the story doesn’t report the age of the victim…

In Stallworth's case I believe they were able to prove that the pedestrian jumped out into the street which complicated the prosecution's case.

I saw somewhere that the lady was 22 or 23? Not sure where I saw it, maybe twitter but I thought it was ironic that she was the same age. or maybe someone just mixed it up with Ruggs. Seems kinda eerie if true. What's the chances you get in a car accident and kill someone the same age as you?

Not sure how accurate this tweet is but Ruggs looks fukkked. High speed, veered into the wrong lane, lady trapped in the car when it caught fire. That is an awful visual.

Yes and a maximum of 8. Apparently new Nevada law where you can’t be charged with murder 2 which would be up to 20 years
