Should have ran out of the stadium and put it on Ebay.

Make Brady bid on it. Have one of your friends run up the auction.

The Tampa Bay Bucs fan who gave back Tom Brady's 600th career touchdown pass game ball missed a chance to cash in.

Sports memorabilia experts told Yahoo Sports the prized ball is worth as much as a fleet of luxury cars or even a new house.

The ball could fetch “minimum $500,000” at auction, Ken Goldin, founder and executive chairman of Goldin Auctions, said. Chris Ivy of Heritage Auctions echoed that valuation. Ezra Levine, CEO of the sports memorabilia investment platform Collectible declared the ball worth "easily $500,000-plus" and probably "closer to $750,000."

i would've told brady to buy it from me for 10 million... 5 from him and 5 from his ugly wife

then when they refuse... put up a video of me lighting a regular football on fire to put the pressure on

that fan was one dumb MF

If Tom wants it back, he can get off his tail and ask for it himself... No need to dispatch an equipment manager to negotiate it. Even then, I wouldn't have given it back. It was a gift from Mike Evans and re-gifting is just rude.

    people are so stupid

they give back stuff like this... he could've bought a house with the money, why give your most valuable possession away for free to a multi-millionaire?

might as well buy a new bentley and give that to brady as well

He caved to the peer pressure... The ball boy was probably like "Oh Tom actually wants that back... Mike didn't know it at the time, but it means a lot to Tom. He needs that back." Meanwhile all the Tampa fans are staring at him and he didn't want to look like a douche holding the football hostage so he relented. Plus he was sweet talked into giving it back in exchange for a signed jersey or something lame like that.

I'm not a fanboy, a signed jersey or season tickets in the press box is meaningless. I'm taking my ball and going home. If the quarterback wants it back, I'll send him the details of the auction. It's not like I stole it. Tom leads a pretty privileged life, no sympathy from me over a chunk of leather.

What's so great about the 600th TD? He already had the record, and since when is the number 600 so special? I don't get it TBH

because it's BRADY and he's the "first"

first to win a SB in OT

    first to win 5 SB

first to win a SB playing in home venue

you get it... find the next script and make big bucks off it pal

first to win multiple super bowls with 2 different teams... and finally retires???

Fan was front row and a die hard fan. He did the right thing. I commend him!! He was getting pressured also on the spot.

He may have got $100,000 tops for that unsigned pigskin if he held out. Hard to verify also once he leaves the game and goes home. Not the end of the world for someone that probably already has cash.

My take anyways. Probably kicking himself in the ass when getting home after the game and thinking about what he did though.

Should have told everyone around him to kiss his ass and "I'm keeping this ball" if Tom wants it he can call me tomorrow. Give the security guy his number then B-line it out of the stadium asap with the ball tucked under his shirt to make it look like he has a massive beer gut.

Next day ring ring - Hi Tom thanks for calling and yes I still have the ball. How much is it worth to you? Let's make a deal. Oh and I don't want your stinky signed jersey's I want cash damn it!!

Oh I'm not asking is it a big deal. It apparently was. I'm asking why is it a big deal.

It didn't break any records, and it isn't a traditionally special number for something like 100 or 1000, so you're just left with the ball used in TD pass number 600, as opposed to 599 or 601. Idiot.

    Ball was worth 500k easily

    McGwire 70th still worth 300k today ($3mm in 1998)

    Bonds 756 $800k
    Bonds 762 $300k

Hell, a random deflated AFC deflate gate ball sold for $50k

^^He missed out on 500K payday according to MINNY's ball worth calculations in the above post.

That's like losing a mega winning lotto ticket right out of your pocket on a windy day when walking down the street and when ready to try and cash it.

    He could be suicidal today.
