prop. 27 in calif.-online sports betting

prop.27 would allow mobile and online sports betting outside native american tribal land.now people like draftkings and fanduel would have to make a deal with tribes to qualify for this.the state would collect hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes and fees.and there is much more.i live in calif. and wholly support prop.27.some thoughts on the prop. fellas.

Would be great if it passes but I heard it's down big in the polls. The average Californian doesn't care about this or doesn't understand it could bring in Millions for the state

I hate to say it but NO on both.

27 doesn't give us a very good betting landscape at all. 26 might give us a great one, temporarily, unless the tribes just dial into caesars, but it won't last.

I'm thinking NO to both, let's try again.

I agree. We need a comprehensive bill that allows for tribes, card clubs, tracks, and online companies to compete for the business. This mish mash of bills is a waste of time. Let's do it right.

Doesn't matter how many more billions Cali rakes in, they'll spend it all and more on the homeless, druggers, convicts, greenies and other garbage.

Legal books suck. Only thing good that comes from legalized gambling is poker sites. But even then it's pretty bad because most want it ring-fenced to just their state only.

no on both all these penetrating scumbags are crying about money for the homeless..penetrate the homeless..if i lose consistently a t a book i'll be homeless...these books have zero protections for players..and esp winning players like myself..ypu win 20 k and they limit you...good luck on disputes that are in your favor too.. so i'm in LA and i'm for only parimutuel type betting at a racetrack or any retail outlet..penetrate all these other scams designed just to beat the player 99% of the time

    Correct.

    Vote NO on BOTH propositions.

Don't be so desperate for sportsbetting access that you take a bad deal and not get the access you think.

    NO on BOTH!!!

Let's try this again next year and do it the right way.

If any of these prop turds would actually HELP end homelessness and support mental health funding I would vote for whatever they propose; of course we all know that revenue will NEVER go to help those 2 causes.

    Bullshit.

    Bull-fukkin-shit.

There's a draft written every year, sometimes multiple. There's too much of a carrot.

We might even be voting for these again next time. That's the problem, they might just throw the same gag at us again.

Regardless, we need to learn from the mistakes of the rest of the country. I'm actually now a little glad California didn't "lead" in this one. I know a little something about this landscape, lol.

    Vote NO on BOTH!!!!

Gold, if they both get knocked down I just might head to Sacramento and educate and consult for the various lobbyists. Of course not the "out of state big corporations" but local lobbysits and legislators.

I will make a concerted effort to at least see that they don't just put the same shit out there on the next ballot and try to advertise their way into the voter's favor.

I will make a concerted effort to also see that they consider the effects of a fair marketplace; consumer protections in CA will already be in place, I think.

I will use the influence I have and do what I can to obtain more.

I admit I probably can't even have an effect on next year's ballot, but I can try and shoot for two years from now as well.

It's a fukkin shark tank in that arena and the tribes have influence.

We'll see, there is still a vote.

But those big guys, DK, Fanduel, and even BetMGM tried to take the whole damn pie and pinch all but the biggest players out. They're trying to bribe the voters with "access to sprotsbetting" and "helping the homeless".

    Fuk them.

Also, be aware that the advertising is more targeted than ever and if you're seeing them online then they are aiming for you. The targeting is like never before, almost Trump like in the campaign.

Not sure about general cable/sat though, that might be more general advertising.

Would love to see the advertising budgets for these props.
