Not that anyone needed a reminder of how awful Bret Bielema is as a coach, but it was on full display tonight.

4th and 2 on the Maryland 42 with 5:30 left, up 17-10 with a chance to go up 2 scores with a couple more first downs and he punts? They drive it 86 yards in under 2 minutes to tie the game.

They then lose 27 yards on the next possession to set up Maryland for the winning FG. What a dumbass.

Playing not to lose = I'm willing to take an L so long as I do so "by the book."

Just awful. His defense held up all night, putting them in a position to win the game on that drive. They never were going to stop Maryland in a 4-down situation. They actually had 2nd and 4. The only runs they had any success with was off tackle to the sides. They run up the middle for 1, up the middle for 1 and punt.
