I think so. Haven't seen many of the other teams but their defense is legit. They got several FBS transfers on defense. They are stout. Offense looks good tonight but obviously they aren't playing a team that is that great. It will be interesting to see how they do against a top FCS defense.

Big punt return for the Griz. Ball on the 38. Already in field goal range.

Yeah, very nice. You're right, hard to find Solid Defenses nowadays. Very tight.

Well this is going to get interesting. All backups in now. Just threw a pick. Might lose by the hook here.

Montana doesn't attempt a fg on the last two drives. This is a loss by the half. Unreal. Sorry Pablo

Montana after that big punt return with about 10 minutes to go took all starters out. They also didn't attempt a FG on that drive and the backup threw a pick. Then they were in FG range on the next drive and went for it on 4th and 6. Griz coach called off the dogs and didn't even try to score. WIU just ran it into the line every time they had the ball.

Sounds like some bad variance there in the 4th.

*Cody Orgeron just threw a late TD pass for McNeese.

Yes, I was not "one" with the variance.

You might say I was not strong across the board today.

The second I saw all the starters come off the field I had a feeling this was going happen. It was confirmed when they didn't bring on the FG unit with 9 minutes to go.

    Nope.

Basically just sealed the +39 bettors.

For the -39 bettors, Ed better not smile.

They jerked off for a whole 4th quarter.

Shit, if it weren't for my mistake, there'd be no winning plays in the thread.

Pulling the starters like that is such a basketball move.

I get what the coach was doing as far as getting all his players in. I mean it is the first football game in Missoula in 2 years but to then attempt no field goals on the last 3 drives? That is what I don't get. Oh well, a loss is a loss but that was frustrating for sure to watch that. If they keep the starters in for one more drive it was a win. They were scoring at will.

That missed fg and the WIU touchdown pass that was called back for a chop block turned out to loom large.

Hommie I’ve used this reference before. Around 1987 Frank viola and the Twins were up 9-0 in a game ,( He was cy young award winner around that time) in the 7th inning I believe and they ended up losing. How many people count winners and losses before a game is over is mind boggling.

Another good one is a team will score off opening kick-off and someone will say I should of taken the over or I should of put more on the over. Game final 10-7.

    Make that everyday homie.

In fact in my time, my definition of crazy has changed. There is nothing in sports that surprises me anymore, ever.

Well, except for that cat falling in the stadium. If I were there that would have surprised me...

Yes, but it effected me financially and that really was the turning point for me in realizing it’s never over till it’s over. Yogi

Actually every time a team comes back from a blow out or such I can’t help think someone, somewhere counted it as a win ahead of time. 😊
