Tried to take advantage of this one and Coinbase blocked my transfer. They did manage to charge me fees though. I am secured right out of my account. Love that crypto!!!

Was this your first time being blocked for a transfer?? Coinbase may now be watching more closely where we transfer. I’ve never had a problem depositing before, but now I’m leery of depositing in sportsbooks for the upcoming football season. I had no problem depositing with heritagesports earlier this year.

Yes. It is some ID verification bullshit. They will transfer but only with a four-day delay. I just cancelled it and sold the bitcoin. They robbed me for the fees. That was not a security issue.

That's what you get for using Coinbase. They are the worst. I suggest Bittrex or Kraken. I use both and have never had a problem.

True enough. I do not want to gamble enough to send bank wires. I've got funded accounts and I can still receive and sell apparently so I just will not make any more deposits.

Is there an offshore book that accepts cash? Like can I mail ten $100 bills for a deposit and not get charged fees?

Are you transferring bitcoin directly from Coinbase to sportsbook? That's a no no.

Yes, it would not make any difference. They would still hold it up. They are requiring additional ID verification just randomly and without notice. The issue is not where I am sending. It is security for my own protection to keep me from using my account.

Au contraire. You are not smart.

You can skip the delay and send your %{@tx_currency} now by verifying your ID. If you don't verify your ID, the transaction will still go through on August 2, 2021 at 5:26 PM PDT.

They do not send your transfer anyway because you screwed up.

Coinbase does not mind that someone might have logged into my account.

They do not mind that they might have transferred money into my account.

They do not mind that someone placed a trade in my account.

They mind that I transferred out. But not so much that they will not let it go through anyway.

Any exchange with a US license is going to require KYC.

No use acting like it is unreasonable.

Or has anything to do with this Youwager bonus offer

I've had this account ever since I started making bitcoin deposits. It is unreasonable to ask for KYC when you already have it and have performed transactions for years. At least if you are going to have some requirement, provide some notice and some actual account protection. Processing delayed transfers is dumbest possible option.

Why do you require notice about being asked for KYC checks?

If they suspect anyone of something, should they be giving them a courtesy call to say we are about to start investigating, before they start investigating?

Seriously. It does not sound like Coinbase deserve any criticism here. (for once)

How am I going to provide ID verification without being given notice? I don't think the time to ask for it is after you take a deposit and process a trade with a commission and transfer and then put a stop on a transfer because you want additional info. The time to do that is when you log into the account.

They are not doing any investigation. They are just asking for my ID again and even if they don't get it, they are transferring anyway. So evidently they don't need it at all.

Identity thieves and scammers agree with you that there should be a much more predictable KYC process.

And in addition to that, they can change my e-mail address, change my phone number for 2 factor, clean out my bank account with transfers, place unlimited trades and process withdrawals to the bank account on record which they can also set up. All without any KYC.

Not sure why you would ever use Coinbase... ridiculous buying fees and sending fees. Just use a desktop wallet, or find some other exchange - almost any exchange is better than Coinbase...

I use Coinbase Pro which is a pretty good deal. Had a Gemini account but it got screwed up with Authy and is lost forever. I don't have any other options that I know of. Definitely will not be funding any exchange with bank wires. So fairly satisfied with Coinbase Pro and seem to have gotten my account updated today using another computer and hopefully I manage to get into this bonus.

I do agree with that. It's convenience that sees everyone wait until a withdraw.

But I also personally don't find it aggravating enough to end up paying higher costs for it. Which is the UK bookmakers argument against the idea.

For companies that makes you jump through hoops for security and claim to value it, it is absurd that you can perform transactions in an account without appropriate documentation. You cannot even set up an account with any financial institution let alone trade without it.

YouWager rep that told me about this offer said I could get in until the 4th but now does not reply. Coinbase screws me over yet again. Love that crypto.
