There is something in the air tonight at Boston. And I'm not talking about the delicious odor of Fenway Franks with Peppers & Onions or fresh Clam Chowda on Yawkey Way.
The wind is OUT tonight to RCF at 5mph. So what's the issue? Wind out to RCF NEVER happens. Well, it does happen but it is a very rare occurrence in Fenway at game time. Clear skies at 83 degrees with 0 precipitation. Conditions are perfect.
First check of the Red Sox Line-up made me do a double-take. With SS Xander Bogaerts sitting out tonight's game manager Alex Cora has elected to start a rather bizarre infield. 3B Devers and C Vasquez are the only regular starters in the infield.
TORONTO

2. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (R) 1B
3. Marcus Semien (R) 2B
4. Bo Bichette (R) SS
5. Teoscar Hernandez (R) RF
6. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (R) LF
7. Randal Grichuk (R) CF
8. Cavan Biggio (L) 3B

BOSTON
1. Enrique Hernandez (R) SS
2. Jarren Duran (L) CF
3. J.D. Martinez (R) DH
4. Rafael Devers (L) 3B
5. Hunter Renfroe (R) RF
6. Alex Verdugo (L) LF
7. Christian Vazquez (R) C
8. Franchy Cordero (L) 1B
9. Michael Chavis (R) 2B
Now, I'm not saying that Hernandez at SS, Chavis at 2B, and Cordero at 1B are not capable of holding the Fort but on paper it sure looks very strange.
Pivetta and Hatch are both capable of opening up the floodgates in tonight's contest. I can see the Boston infield coughing up and error or two. I can also see both teams scoring early and often to bring the OVER home to count.
THE PLAY: Tor @ BOS OVER 10.5 -149 $447 to win $300
May the Baseball Gods be with us tonight my fellow degenerates.
