You hold the #1 overall draft pick in your NFL fantasy draft...

    Who you picking?

    Me?
    It's a no brainer.

    Christian McCaffrey
    All day, every day.

Not to sound boring but yeah id have to go with McCaffrey at #1. Even though he was a total let down last season due to the injuries, you still have to pick him there.

New QB this year. Wouldn't be surprised if McCaffrey's numbers dip due to Darnold. He is a turnover machine and he will be a liability for McCaffrey.

You guys seem pretty sure he will be healthy all season?

How many games has he missed in the NFL so far?

Yeah but he's gold in PPR leagues.

He'll be the most targeted RB out of the backfield (followed by Kamara and Ekeler) and McCaffrey does have good hands.
He'll get almost every red zone touch, if he stays healthy he'll score five receiving TD's and ten more on the ground.

    You can't pass that up.

Tell you who's a nice sleeper (if you can call him that) is Jonathan Taylor.
He got baptized last season, he may be primed too with a new QB giving him a lot of touches and safe flair passes in the flats.
    JT has nice hands too.

I agree you can't pass as #1 pick. I believe everyone who picked him as #1 last year in my leagues didn't win their league. I hate picking #1 as the next pick doesn't come up after a while.

He started every game in 2017 his rookie year, every game in 2018, every game in 2019.
Last season, his fourth he missed the last seven game of the year.
But that was a thigh injury, not bone related and the reports are he's 100 percent.

    He is not injury prone.

I'd rather have like the #4 or #5 overall.
Then come second round you still are looking at a quality WR! type with the #20 (or so) overall pick

In PPR CMC is a no brainer but Dalvin not terribly far behind.

Also Jonathan Taylor is far from a "sleeper." He finished as the #6 RB last year and has a first round ADP this year.

Well yeah, I get it, but the fact that there's any consideration at all suggests that you might deem him borderline or "on the bubble" in regards to him being a sleeper... I'm unequivocally saying he's not. He's closer to McCaffrey than he is to any tier of RB's that would come off the board as sleepers.

Taylor is going to bust at an adp in the top 10. Not a 3 down back, not in a system that uses 3 down backs and he was awful against decent or better defenses last yr

    Love Henry, absolute beast.
Straight up bell cow up your defenses gut rusher,
They don't throw to him, he's not that kind of back.
Some halfbacks just can't handle a pass.
    Doesn't change the fact he's a beast.

McCaffrey's first full three seasons he was targeted on the average of 128 times, or about eight passes a game thrown his way.
And he has magic hands, he was pretty much gold on the average he caught seven out of eight passes a game thrown at him.
He also caught 15 TD passes in his first three seasons. Five per year.

Henry's pass receiving numbers are non existent, because they just run him.

McCaffrey gets 128 targets a season.
Henry gets 20 targets a season just a tad over one pass a game.

Henry has three career TD pass receptions in five pro seasons.
McCaffrey catches five TD passes every year.

Somebody mentioned McCaffrey is turnover prone.
    I looked it up.
He's lost only two fumbles in three years.
2019 the last real NFL season McCaffery rushed the ball 287 times in 16 games (average 18 carries a game, every game) and fumbled just once. And that was recovered by him, that was not a lost fumble to the defense.

My all time personal favorite running back was Matt Forte.
McCaffrey is cut from the same mold as Forte.

God I remember loving watching those Bears games with Forte in the backfield almost on every snap.
Now that was a pass catching running back.
One of the finest I ever saw.

I got the Big Ten package at home.
Every Saturday I would watch Wisconsin at noon.

    I love Taylor too.

And watch Ekeler explode this year out the in Hollywood.
    Same kind of back.

Would love to see him involved more in the pass game.
He's the best one dimensional RB in the game today, but he has only two more seasons of 'prime time' left.
All, not many but all punishing battering ram running backs with breakaway speed break down almost instantly after year six.
The human body isn't built to sustain that type of abuse.
He plays virtually every snap, he's going to break down. All the great ones do.

I would love to Vrabel's OC Todd Downing have more plays involving Henry in some pass schemes.
If you use Henry even as a decoy for a screen pass that keeps opposing defenses on their heels a bit.
Right now all defense know what Henry's going to do, that's take a handoff from Tannehill in the gut and run.
You can't stop him but you know what he's going to do.

Like you mentioned, I think Vrable and Downing are heading in that direction with expanding Henry's role.

That Titan coaching staff is loaded with solid specialists.

Vrable is a defensive specialist, standout DE at Ohio State, he's a linebacker guru.
Spent a lot of time learning from Belichick as a Pat.
Carrier LB coach and a DC before becoming Head Coach.
He knows defense as well as anyone.

His right hand man is an offensive guru.
Todd Browning was a semi pro QB before coaching.
    He's a tight end specialist.
He's the brains of the Titans offense, Vrablel is the boss of the whole operation.

Vrable and the Titans have been successful the past three years because the Head coach has a terrific defensive mind.
He trusts Downing to run the offense because he's an outstanding offensive minded genius that knows tight ends and QB's as well as anyone.

    Titans have great coaches.

Who do you think is responsible for Tannehill's success.
The guy who loves to use his QB with his Tight Ends and knows Henry is the best ball control RB in the game.

Parcells (a great a head coach as there ever was) was smart enough to hire Belichick twice even though Parcells can't stand him as a person.
Parcells was smart enough to know Belichick is one of the greatest defensive coach ever.
He just gave the keys to Belichick on defense, that's one less thing he had to worry about.

    Same with Vrable and Downing.
But I hear they get along great.

This season is probably going to be their best shot at a SB.
    I'll root for them.

I'm a lifelong NYG homer that bleeds Big Blue, but certain other teams I follow closely too.
