The games greatest player finally wins a major tournament. Fukking great to see a flopper like Neymar and Brazil go down.

Every since Dunga left Ronadhino off the world cup squad in 2010 I lost all respect for Brazil, and they've never won anything since.

Ronaldo never won a international final really considering he was subbed off after 20 minutes in the euro final

That means nothing, he was by far the best player on a team that won the euros. The euros are a hundred times harder to win them copa America. This Argentina team wouldn’t have even made the quarterfinal at the euros.

If Messi gets given shit for not winning anything for his national team then lewandowski should get the same treatment, Poland wont even sniff a final

That’s an absurd statement, Poland’s third best player wouldn’t even be a backup on Argentina, Argentina is a far bigger country with a much strong soccer history than Poland.

Oh come on that's unfair. Much harder competition in Europe and how do you compare Polands squad to Argentina's?

Lewa is the sole reason Poland is able to win any games.

That's the point if you're the best player in the world why are you getting judged for your national teams performance

My point was some people say he can't be the best in the world because he hasn't won a world cup or anything for the national team but will use the same argument to defend another player

For sure. Winning the WC is so difficult. But I still think it can be done for Messi. Messi got to the finals and he should have won that game, even if he had the inferior team. So that was a massive loss on his career. He's obviously (to me) the goat, but having that one WC would have ended the entire debate forever. I hope he gets one next year. Argentina's key pieces are super young. Romero is going to be one of the top 5 defenders in the world in 2 years. And Martinez will be one of the best forwards/strikers. Di Maria and Messi may have just got the monkey off their back, and now they are playing with more confidence.

This team can still work in some players like Correa and Dybala. Otimendi is rock solid. Just lots of solid pieces. Very strong goalkeeper. It's a complete team 1.5 years from now in Qatar.

I like Belgium if healthy, France if there is no more beef, and Argentina for the WC. Those, right now, after seeing all these teams play and projecting potential at full health, are who I think are the best teams. Argentina is clearly the best team in south america, they played terrible today and still won.

I don't think Italy and England will win the WC. Brazil gonna be favored as usual. They won't win. Not with this squad. Spain has some good players, they need a striker. Maybe an african team can make a deep run. Who is the next Eto'o who's out there now? Follow that team.
