Has a Caddie ever quit an hour before a tournament?

Bryson Dechambeau very polarizing person. Seems his caddy has had enough of his crap.

Bryson must be a huge oyster to work for. Imagine quitting the dream job of caddying for one of the top golfers in the world. He caddied for Bryson for his 8 big wins. Wonder who will pick this guy up

It would be draining, I hear Bryson usually goes to the practice range for hours after most of his rounds too.

I'm not saying he's a bad person but his personality just watching him is tough. Lots of complaining and pouting.

No way in hell it was the caddy's decision. Who else is he gonna loop it for that would pay as well as Bryson?.. Regardless of how big an asshole is.

Many rumors the caddie just straight up had enough and quit.

I'm sure he will be fine with what he has earned and if not, won't be tough to find a job.

glad you idiots had your say

now here is the truth...........caddies work when players say work

bryson is on the range nonstop

im sure his caddy was annoyed and just said f it because bryson practices too much

you either need to find someone that wants to be "the best caddy ever" or a caddy willing to work for $400/hr instead of the usual rate of $2000/hr

Carlos Franco and Frank Lickliter are known for never practicing

ofcourse you want to caddy for them

    Bryson practices nonstop

    NO FREE TIME

I am sure something else set the caddy off, but that is the main reason

I'm saying it is likely because of his personality which leads to non stop practice.

He is obsessed with being the best. I would put money on him not being able to relax and talk about anything other than golf. Would be tiring to be around.

    Don't forget Phil

Does a caddie really always need to be there at the range? Seems like Bryson could give him a few days off.

it's shocking how bad bryson is with his wedges, guy drives the ball so far and so close to the hole and he doesn't stick his wedges like most of the elite

We used to play for something called snakes where whoever was the last person to 3 putt from the farthest away on the green had the snake and every hole there was a snake it added to the last one. The guy who had the last snake had to pay the accumulated total each of the other 3 players. Some guys would almost miss the ball on the 18th hole they were so nervous and if they ended up with the snake you would think they were about to off themselves they were so pissed.

Maybe if the players carried their own gear for 18 holes they would appreciate their caddies.

If you don't want to caddy for a top 5 player I'm sorry, you're the problem.

Good bye, and good riddance. Here's hoping BD can find a partner that wants to win as bad as he does, and get rich doing it.

They need someone to keep bringing them more balls to hit.
