Exactly, was just talking to someone seriously about this.

Worldwide it's just insane. It goes beyond regulations too. They guy has nothing to do with Coke. But the event organizers did. So maybe it's not so far beyond regulations as they could be held responsible being in contract with Coke.

Not only is it basically sugar water, sugar you don't need, but it's also bad for your bones.

Coke is more than water and sugar.

The phosphoric acid, if you take in too much, will create imbalances in the body that will lead to decreased bone density.

So, that's not good.

I will drink a Diet Coke here and there, I know they’re bad for you but here and there, whatever. Usually don’t even have them around the house. But some people live off coke and Diet Coke and that is just wild to me. Like a lot of radio hosts will just crack open cokes throughout a show every single day, like wtf are you doing man?? You just had like 7 Cokes in 3 hours!

The only person who gets a pass is Frank Beard of ZZ Top who drinks Tab through every single one of their sets. He’s allowed to do whatever he wants because he’s in the best band of all time.

But they did discontinue Tab so I wonder what this will mean for him? What if he drops dead if he goes a day without Tab?

Apparently you can still get Tab on Amazon, according to one post it’s still produced in the Los Angeles area. You gotta pay out the ass for it though. But I guess Frank Beard is in the clear, he’s got the money to support his habit.
