Cowherd just compared the Nets to Tesla.

Tesla has a Kooky owner that does everything wrong.
Tesla didn't show a profit for 17 years, and on and on Cowherd went.
Auto experts tell you Tesla will have more things go wrong with it in the first three months you own it that all the 31 other US auto companies combined... etc. etc.

Teams without chemistry don't win, teams with shitty team defense don't win, teams with health issues don't win, teams with inexperienced playoff head coaches don't win.

    Yet here we are.

Call Cowherd a clown if you want (His NBA picks are 9 and 3 ATS in 12 games picked so far by the way) he was making some solid abstract points, IMO he's the best in the business.

    Most interesting take away.
I just learned only one team in the last 30 finals have won with a team defense ranked below the top 15.
Brooklyn is ranked like 22 or so.

    Yet here we are.

So let me put it to you this way.

If I took the Western conference all stars, and put them in a best of 7 vs. the Bucks, or the Jazz, or whatever team you want. You're saying that team would win the series because of no chemistry?

That series, and every series, would be a sweep.

    No, I'm not saying that.
Cowherd's point was teams generally don't win without the chemistry, without the health, without the experienced coaching, without the defense.
My takeaway was Cowherd was saying Brooklyn is a gigantic exception to the 'rule'

I've devoted a big part of my life to baseball.

I think the chemistry angle is overblown.

Munson hated Reggie, Goose didn't like Sparky, Billy Martin would fight anyone on demand not named Thurman Munson, how'd those Yankee teams work out.

    Flash forward a quarter century.

Jeter hated Cano, Jeter despised A-Rod.
Jeter hated Chad Curtis so much he got him thrown off the team.
Mussina hated Girardi, all the vets hated Girardi, the kids had no choice.
How'd those Yanks teams work out.

    Yeah, chemistry is overrated.

    Yeah, chemistry is overrated.
I think when there is any kind of hate involved, it will blow up your team in basketball because baseball players technically don't really "share the ball." It's different. Kobe and Shaq hated each other by 2004, they still made the finals but got destroyed by an inferior team.

I don't think chemistry is every a problem unless there is hate or jealousy etc in the locker room. Kyrie going out and taking days off doesn't matter, unless it causes a problem within the team. Everything else is outside noise.

But without health? Yeah, I agree.

It would not surprise me if Durant won a ring without Harden. Durant is the best player in the world. Been saying this for years. He's much better than Giannis.

But for the Nets really to be considered the favorites to win it all, they really need James Harden.

James Harden is no joke, the guy really is an all time great player. And I don't even really like him. He's annoying. But I'm stating facts.

Bucks are very blessed that he got hurt. This can be their chance. I still say Nets are a slight favorite even without Harden, but it's a coin flip series now.

Great post Nasher. I bet the Bucks tonight
Thom really sold me on their horrible road record, so I bet a little more on them.
Anyway, you make great points there and it will be interesting to see how the team defense ranking plays out during the series

One thing's for sure, I will have the games up on my screen.

Even though there is potential for blowouts, and the injuries suck ass, the NBA playoffs are a product to watch these days.

according to SBR Odds, 57% of the tickets are on the Nets but with the line movement towards the Bucks, the larger % of cash wagered is on the Bucks

Bucks are a terrible road team.
Giannis is a horrible FT shooter.

Give me a proven Durant and an electric Irving. Both could combine for about 80 points.

    Also like the OVER tonight.

Nets shouldn't lose consecutive games to ANY team but probably won't win 3 in a row against any team either.

Some pressure on Milwaukee in the market but don't be fooled.

Pinny more than happy to take mil -2 bets, from arbers and late players and anyone out there shopping. They took plenty in on the Nets.

I would not take MIL -2, that's for sure here before tip, maybe they win by 1.

Or maybe they don't win at all.

    Good Luck whatever your bets.

It not good for your team when you need a limited player like Tucker starting
