Given that I continue to remain stiffed for more than $40,000 in casino bonuses by BetOnline / SportsBetting.ag (as mentioned in my earlier posts) I thought I should shed light on another subject to combat all the BetOnline (BO) apologists out there who have always been paid themselves but who have never seen the full scope of how BO operates. As some of you may know, BO runs recurring tournaments on a slot named Fruit Loot. For those of you who have played it for any length of time I imagine you already know where I am going with this. I'd estimate I have played more than 55,000 spins and I have taken shorthand notes of my results for more than 43,000 of those spins. This is the result of having become incurably suspicious that the game was delivering nowhere near the advertised RTP (return to player) percentage. If you look up the RTP online you will see answers ranging from about 96.0% to 97.17%. If you click on "Game Information" within the slot it says "Tournament version theoretical RTP 110%". How do you my results on 43,000 spins compare to the advertised RTP of 110%? In short they suggest the real RTP is around 71.5% to 73%. I have attached stats at bottom. Some of you might think 43,000 spins is too low a sample size to draw any conclusions but bear in mind that the game is not really that volatile. The top payout is only 250x the bet amount and I have observed that top payout only once. Even if I had achieved this top payout 10 times it would only have moved my observed payout % to about 77% and to be perfectly frank it is rather uncommon even to get a 40x win. It also needs to be pointed out that other players do not seem to be doing any better. These tournaments draw hundreds of participants. What kind of scores are generally put up? Considering that you start with 250 chips you can usually get into the top 10 of the daily tournaments with a score of only about 1300-1400 chips and can often win the thing with a score of only about 2500-3000 chips. Even the premier $50,000 to $100,000 tournaments (in bonus money) typically see a top 10 leaderboard with scores between 2750 to 5000 despite starting with 500 chips. Get the picture. As a point of reference I'd estimate the scores in the blackjack tournaments are on average 3-4 times as high despite starting with the same number of chips and having similar participation. These numbers do nothing to deter my prediction that the real RTP is about 71.5% to 73%.
Admittedly this is a tournament format and all players are on the same playing field. If I am right however this is still very deceptive. I think it was designed like this intentionally to give players a false sense of the scoreboard being low so that more entries get bought. Also it makes the free entries BO hands out appear to be worth more than they actually are. Honestly tell me anywhere else where you'll find a slot these days that pays less than about 93%. Am I the only person who believes there is an unwritten law out there that if you are going to present a slot it should play like a slot? Even how the reels display is deceptive. Five reels are not being spun independently. Instead the RNG decides what your end prize will be and contrives the reels to pay that much out. This is even true in the free spins feature. And as I have learned there is the issue of getting credited even if you win. Just a few days ago I got stiffed again on a 16th place finish for a modest $100 casino bonus. Over the past month I have won a couple of bonuses $1000 or more which I got credited and I get stiffed for the small one. Doesn't make much sense. If you do finish in a tournament you should definitely take a screen shot.
