To be fair there are certain sports where it's a mystery how and why players get injured. I never understood how baseball players - aside from pitchers - get injured so often. I mean how often do you see people get injured from standing?

But it seems so many get injured in practice, or screwing around, when they do get injured

Sure pitchers toss the ball, but any workouts have risk of injury and every other player also throwing that ball pretty hard, quite a bit.

No but they are heavily padded and do nothing usually for half the play time because the puck is at the other end.

Don't get me wrong, any of us would probably be sore the next day but these are professional athletes in the playoffs. They see more action and make more saves in warm ups before every game than during the actual game whether they are playing or not.

Playing goalie in hockey is nothing like playing goalie in soccer (where you do in fact stand around and run very little during the game).

Playing goal in hockey is absolutely exhausting. They lose a lot of pounds of sweat throughout the game.

Boyfriend JAKEEMAH was a goalie and he was barely recognizable after a 30+ save performance. His balls stunk post-game too.

Yes it's hot under those pads I'm sure. Point is there is little activity in need of recovery from that can't be done in almost 24 hrs. Not ideal of course but this is the playoffs. We will see I guess. Gross homo reference BTW.
