    Well it's because he's going to be coaching the Olympics, which is likely to be the final hoorah of his career. I imagine he'll retire from the NBA after, with 2022 being his final season. He'll also finish his career with the number 1 most wins for a coach in history with one more year.

    Pop is the major guy in the NBA that brought politics in basketball which is garbage. That's the reason why Leonard left the Spurs so he said in an interview in years past.
