    Dodgers Payroll

Worst team in baseball the last few weeks

quarter of a Billion dollar Payroll

    17-16 for 249 million

Cleveland Indians. 17-14 for 50 million

Dodgers perfectly represent that dumpster fire of a State

Pujols did not start his career with the Angels. Kershaw started his career with the Dodgers

    Very true

You'd get the same or better results platooning AAA dudes than you get from Harper or Machado

Pitching the ONLY area to overpay.

If I were GM I'd hugely overpay on 3 yr deals, not 5, and use a 4 man rotation. Beat the shit out of those FAs

    agree with fats

get yourself 3 lights out pitchers and then guys who can generate runs with doubles, timely singles and small ball while playing defense

this yankees way of power hitters sucks

Won't work because the other guy will overpay for 5 and the pitcher is gonna take more guaranteed money. Only way is to scout well and find some diamonds in the rough and then don't eff up when you do open up the pursestrings.

    Can't scout pitching...seriously.

MLB today only looks at physical condition for pitchers and many get drafted as SS or outfielders.

Just be the club that gives 40-50 mm / yr to 3 Cy young caliber guys and then terrorize the opposition w baserunning, defense and obp.

You'll be a contender every year w a 150-175mm payroll rolling into the 2030s and that'll be 75% of league average and you'll have 0 dead money
