Pete Rose to sell picks for baseball, other sports through website

Pete Rose's baseball predictions are for sale for $89 a month.

Rose announced Wednesday that he was joining UpickTrade, a pick-selling website based in Mexico that recently made headlines in the U.S. with a short-lived partnership with the Vegas Golden Knights of the NHL. Rose will be making daily predictions about baseball and other sports.

Rose, who turned 80 on Wednesday and resides in Las Vegas, was banished from baseball in 1989 after an investigation revealed that he had bet on the game while managing the Cincinnati Reds. He has appealed to be reinstated multiple times but has been denied, most recently in 2015 by then first-year commissioner Rob Manfred.

He will get a decent customer base, just look at all the marketing books and touts are
doing on major networks and sports publications.
plenty of NEW suckers and losers out there.
Pete Rose will definitely send some of his vintage 8x10 Heritage signed glossies, and likely some baseballs, as welcome gifts to his customers

I’m telling you, Pete will be successful.
    will get plenty of customers.
Now that gambling is legal in many states, and the Nfl just signed their gambling deals, it’s becoming mainstream and he will have plenty of fresh meat new players to sucker

Honestly he needs to lose weight. He has slowed down. His mind still very sharp.

That's a bargain. Win or lose. Just for the entertainment value and write-ups, plus any possible schwag.

There are touts that sell picks at 29,39,49 for a SINGLE DAY. And or 75, 100, 125 for a WEEK.

90 bucks is not a lot for a guy who knows the game as well as him. If he's winning, then you're winning every month. What's 100 bucks if you're making a grand a month off his plays?

You don’t need to pay for picks. Just play Dodgers RL every day.

It's nice to see that Pete made it his life's work to see that he separated himself from gambling.

Pete was apparently a very good baseball bettor but from what I understand he is just the frontman for Wayne Allan Root.

Pete was also a surprisingly good manager.

Didn't he lose his ass when he bet on baseball? I think he should easily be in the HOF. This won't help his cause.
It's ashamed but he won't be enshrined until he's 6 feet under.

He's been gambling MLB his entire life, I wouldn't be surprised if he could pick some winners. Still, I would never pay for picks but I'm sure there are some suckers out there that would.

    Rose about to get paid..

It has been a long time but from what I remember Pete won at baseball and the speculation was that he won because he bet Red games. He insisted that he didn't. He probably did but he was probably betting on the Reds because the Reds were good once he took them over. They literally went from a 97-loss team to above .500 overnight.

I always wondered if Petey bet big on his own games when he was playing for the REDS and maybe even tried to determine the outcome himself. The fix could have been in with a few regular season games for sure during his playing career..

Was he a good manager?? I don't remember any playoff appearances from The Reds while he was managing.
